05 September 2002 - Update! Registry module added to the Source Code Registry section.  Add this module to your VB App and have instant access to read and write from the Windows registry.

I would like to turn this site into a online reference for VB programmers, I can only do this with your help.  If any of you would like to donate source code samples or home-made ActiveX controls please email at VBFirstAid@Yahoo.co.uk. Credit will be given where credit is due.

28 August 2002 - Sorry for the lack of updates - in the next week or so I shall post a registry module, a few activeX controls and two applications.

07 July 2002 - Update! File searching class module.  Search files using search patterns in a folder and all subfolders.

02 July 2002 - Update! 5 new source code articles added to System/Api section and 1 new code article added to  the Forms and Controls section.  I have nearly finished the sites first ActiveX control which will be called 'MoreColors'.  It is a color picker control which exactly mimics the hexagonal color picker first seen in Microsoft FrontPage.  The control will be freeware and will be posted this week.

28 June 2002 - Hi, Welcome to VB First Aid, this site is brand new and at the moment may not contain much content, but over the next few weeks expect to see tons of source code, free high quality ActiveX controls and Applications that will make your programming experience all the more easier.  

There will also be programming tips and eventually tutorials and as all good web sites, tons of VB Web Links to sites where you can find whatever your looking for.  VB First Aid will eventually grow into your number 1 On-Line reference and information source with a collection of the best code and snippets from around the web along with our own.  We will also welcome any uploaded code from you the user.  Please feel free to email me with you code, I will post it and give you full credit with links to your site.
