I did my summer internship(7th May-6th July,2007) at Ittiam Systems,Bangalore.My project was based on
Video Bit Stream Analyzer for MPEG-4 Video on PC.The aim of this project was to develop a Graphical User Interface(GUI) using Microsoft Visual C++ which could analyze a given video bit stream and present a detailed analysis of all possible video parameters supported by the MPEG-4 codec in a user friendly manner.The video bit stream would be the the compressed output of the encoder used in compressing a given MPEG-4 video.The MPEG-4 decoder library was provided to us which had to be suitably modified to extract relevant video parameters according to the codec.This project was also aimed to design a module(a C library) such that all possible video codecs could be plugged into it by minimal alteration of the code of the library according to the codec.
