THE BOWLINGS

The Bowling and the Lockhart lines cross in my family several times. I'm still trying to get it all straight.

The woman in the middle of this picture is Linna Bowling Johnson. She was my g-g-grandmother . The woman seated to her right is Ella Johnson Lockhart. Ella was my great-grandmother .The woman on the left is Jane ? with her son. All the other children belong to Ella.

Linna Bowling was born on Sept 4, 1853 in Tazewell , Va. She was the daughter of David Bowling and Louisa Jane Anderson.
She married Issac Johnson on Feb. 18, 1869 . Issac was born in 1849.

David B. Bowling was born about 1821 in Tazewell co.,Va. and died before April 1891 in Tazewell. He was the son of William Bowling and Lavina Asbury. He married Louisa Jane Anderson on June 1 1843 in Tazewell Co., Va.

William Bowling was born Feb. 9, 1789 in Russell Co.,Va.died bef. 1870 in Tazewell Co.,Va. He was the son of Jerret Bowling and Eleanor Garrison. He married Lavina Asbury on May 28, 1807 in Tazewell, Va.

Jerret Bowling was born on Jan 18 1762 in Stafford.Co.,Va.and died Jan.2,1856 in Tazewell Co., Va. He was the son of Benjamin Bowling and Winifred Garrison. He married Eleanor Garrison abt. 1781 in VA. Eleanor was the daughter of William Garrison, Winifred Brother.
