Julia Frances Lockhart was the daughter of John and Eleanor Lockhart. She was born Feb.24, 1850 in Tazewell Va. She died May 8, 1938.

Joseph Jasper Witt was born Oct 16, 1846 in Saltville, Smyth Co., Va. He died on Feb. 3, 1940 in Tazewell Co. , Va. He was a farmer.

Joseph and Frances had the folowing children: James H. Witt b. 1870 Mary Jane Witt b. 1872 Lizzie Witt b. 1876 Oscar G. Witt b. 1879 William Witt b. April 1882 Sara Ann Witt b. April 26, 1898

Sara Ann Witt married Joseph Buckles Lawson on May 12, 1909 Maxwell, Tazewell Co. , Va. Joseph's parent were Wilkinson Witten Lawson and Mary Ann Bowling.
