Memories are wonderful and I am very thankful for cameras and film.  Melissa Ann "Sis" was my first niece.  When she was very young, I would take her with me everywhere.  When she got a little older, she would stay all night.  Her cousins, Becky and Lisa, would stay also.  We would all sleep in the ame bed.  Every time "Sis" stayed she fell out of bed and landed on the floor, still asleep.  I would put her back to bed without waking her ( a sign of a true Lockhart).
Missy learned to sew and cook with a little encouragement. She did not keep up with the sewing, but if she wanted something sewn on the machine she had to do it.  She loved to have her picture taken.  Most of the pictures you will see of her I have taken.  When she was in her teen years, we did what we called
" Photo sessions".  She and Becky would dress up and keep changing clothes as long as I would take the pictures. I am very thankful to have all these pictures.  We would go shopping and loved to talk about everything.
She became a beautiful woman on the inside as well as beautiful to look at. She loved her home and being a mother.  I remember the first time that she fried eggs for me . She was so  proud that she didn't break the yellows. "Sis" was constantly working on her home. We would go shopping and loved to talk about everything. She liked to shop for bargains. Red , white and blue were the colors that she liked to decorate with in her house.
I will remember her calling me Linda Louise ( my name is Linda Ruth). If you wanted to do something for her you could make her macaroni and cheese. Little things that you did for her made her happy.  That is how I remember her .
