Carmel Raymon was born on May 3, 1903 in Tazewell Co., Va. That was his true given name . It was changed through a census mistake.The Carmel  was spelt as Carvel. His wife Tillie added the d to Raymon. Thus Carvel Raymond was his name.

Raymond married Tillie Lorraine Aeh ( born July 5, 1899 ) in 1923 at Portsmouth , Ohio.  They made their home at Gephart, Ohio.  They built the house that they moved into as newly-weds and always reminded there.

Tillie Lorraine died on July 15, 1962 and Raymond passed away on Dec. 26, 1991. Both are buried at sunset Gardens, Franklin Furnace, Ohio.

They had one child.  A daughter, Ruth Elizabeth Lockhart born on Sept. 9, 1927.  She was born on the same day as my father ( Jack Lockhart ) and they were called the twin cousins.
Ruth married David Smittle Morris on Sept. 14, 1952 at Wheelersburg, Ohio.  David was born March 9, 1926 and died Feb. 11, 1989 and was buried at Sunset Garden, Franklin Furnace, Ohio.

These two pictures are of the twin cousins.  Ruth Lockhart and Jack Lockhart.   The one on the left was at about age two or three.  The one on the right was taken in 1950.  The twins would have been 23 years old.
