Chapter 36 She looked over at the roses and then back down at the paper. Fortunately the rest of her appointments were a success, she'd managed to pull her shit together and was able to assist her clients. If everything went well and with Nick's account, she'd be getting a large commission at the end of the month. Nick, she couldn't stop thinking about him. Luckily, she was just about finished and could head home. The sent of the roses filled the room, she was constantly reminded of him and what'd happened last night. Damn him! She slammed her hands down on the desk, throwing a pen across the room. "Ok so you don't like roses. What flower do you like?" Keyana's gaze flew to the door. "Nick!" "Uh, I can take them away if you don't like them" He whispered, looking at the flowers. "What? No, no I love them. They're beautiful. I wasn't upset about the flowers." "Oh? Anything wrong?" "No not really, just a little stressed." "You need a different job, you don't need this much stress, you're too young." Keyana chuckled. "Oh sure. No I enjoy what I do. I can handle the stress. Now is there something I can do for you?" "Yeah, I didn't hear from you and I was wondering what you thought about the pictures I dropped off last night." Last night, tub, bubbles. She shook her head. "Yes I did as a matter of fact. They're very nice. I think we can work with that. Here's the thing, I'm gonna have to swing by your home again. I have some samples catalogues for you to look at and some more things for you to pick out and such." "Ok, I can do that." "Alright, let me look at my schedule and see what's available." Keyana excused herself and headed over to Lumien to check. She came back in. "I'm all booked tomorrow, and it looks like the only time I have for Friday is five-thirty. We won't be able to get everything done in an half hour." "So just come after work again." Oh no, she knew what happened every time she saw him out of the office. But then again she couldn't very well turn him down. He was her biggest account now. "Umm, o-ok." "Good. So I'll see you friday at..." "Six-thirty. I'll come directly from work." "Six-thirty. Got it. Till then." Nick smiled, reaching out to bring her hand to his mouth, kissing it lightly. She watched as he left, slapping her head. She was in trouble. |
