Chapter 39
Turning onto her side, Keyana snuggled in closer to the warmth that surrounded her. Wrapping her arms around the waist in front of her, she felt arms pull her closer and she sighed. This is exactly how it was supposed to be. The realization came right after, her eyes slowly opening as the reality of what'd happened hit her. Squeezing her eyes shut, she turned and buried her face in her pillow.
"I see someone doesn't want to get up."
That voice, it poured over her like honey. It was that voice that'd called to her, it was that voice that'd made her feel things she'd never felt before. She rolled over and slowly opened her eyes to find Nick staring down at her. The sexual tension she'd thought was gone, came flaring back again, she rubbed at her eyes with her hand.
"Morning Keyana."
She looked at him through the slits her fingers made and smiled shyly. "Morning Nick." He reached out and gently pulled her hand away, leaning down to kiss her cheek gently. Her stomach flipped from the touch of his lips.
"You know, you look cute in the morning." Nick grinned.
"Please, my hair is a mess, I'M a mess." She groaned.
"I like the tumbled look."
She stared up at him, a goofy look on his face. "You would."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Nick asked, feigning hurt.
Chuckling she shook her head. "Whew, I'm tired."
"Well, we could just stay in bed all day if you want." Nick smiled.
"No, I don't think that'd be a good idea. I should go. Yeah, I'm gonna go." She sat up, wrapping the sheet around her, and started to get out of the bed. It was all wrong, this wasn't supposed to have happened.
"Keyana, wait." Nick placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her movements.
She stilled beneath his touch. She'd cheated on her boyfriend, something she vowed she would never do. She hated the fact that Nick could do this to her, make her feel this way.
"Nick..."
"What happened last night was very special to me. I hope it was for you too."
She looked down, it'd meant too much to her. She'd wanted last night to happen so bad, and now that it had, she found herself wanting more. It took all her control to not lay back down with him. "Nick, it was special to me." She whispered, as his other hand rested on her shoulder, turning her to face him.
"I'm not sorry for what happened Keyana, I'm not."
She couldn't look at him. "I have to go." She felt his hand slide down her arms and fall to the bed. Sliding away from him, she grabbed her clothes quickly, dressing before walking out his door and out the house.
Nick watched her leave from his window. The pain had started the second she'd left the bed and was rapidly growing stronger. He wasn't sure what he'd expected to have happen, maybe for her to melt into his arms, realizing that they were meant to be together. No, that'd be too much to ask for.
He sat heavily on his bed, the sheets tangled from the previous nights passion. He slumped back on the bed, he could still smell her there. The woman who belonged to someone else. He thought one night would've been enough, he was crazy and more importantly, he was wrong. His heart tightened, it wasn't fair, but then again nothing ever is. ********************************************************************
She sniffled and wiped at her eyes. She sat there on her bed, where she'd been for the last hour, crying. How could she have done that to Shane? She grabbed another tissue and blew her nose loudly. The guilt draped over her like a blanket, she felt like she couldn't breathe. She heard the doorbell and headed downstairs, stopping at the bathroom to quickly splash some water on her face. Making her way down, she walked over and pulled the door open.
"Hey girl, what's up?" Erin called.
She walked off, sitting on the couch as Erin and Gabs entered, shutting the door behind them.
"K? What's wrong?" Gabs questioned, coming to sit next to her on the couch with Erin.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hang out with you guys, is that so wrong?"
"No, but you don't look alright. Have you been crying?" Erin asked.
"No, why would I be?"
"I dunno, you just look..." Erin started.
"Troubled." Gabs finished.
She wondered how long she could keep it from them. "No everything's fine. So what's been up with you two?"
"Not much really, we've just been chillin' and shit." Gabs shrugged.
"Hey Erin, did AJ ever call you?"
"Yeah he did actually! Ha, almost pissed my pants! It was great!" Erin grinned.
"What about you Gabs? Did Brian call you?"
"Yup, he's a sweetie." Gabs sighed.
"Now she's asking herself what she ever saw in Nick!" Erin laughed. At the mention of Nick's name, she felt the tears start again. Damn, it was gonna be harder to get over than she thought. All she could think about since she'd come home was how great last night was, and how right it felt. How much she wanted it to happen again.
"You are crying! Come on Keyana, tell us what's wrong." Gabs demanded.
Obviously she couldn't hold off on telling them, that was the reason why she invited them over anyway, as much as she denied it. "I did something I shouldn't have. You know what the worst part is?"
They both shook their heads, concern on their faces.
"What?" Erin asked.
"I-I enjoyed it!" She sobbed, burying her face in her hands.
Erin and Gabs stared at her confused.
"Nick." Keyana sniffled.
"Ohhhhh!" Erin and Gabs both exclaimed together.
"It was innocent in the beginning, flirting and shit. Then he started doing things for me. He cooked me dinner and complemented me and he was really sweet. Then it just became intense and before I knew it, I was making out with him and things started happening."
"Things?" Gabs probed.
"Foreplay." Keyana muttered.
"Wow!" Erin murmured.
Keyana nodded. "I started wanting to be around him, thinking about him. Things with me and Shane became strained, I couldn't touch him or kiss him. More importantly the whole sexual aspect was gone for me. I longed for something else...someone else."
"Nick." Erin smiled knowingly.
She nodded. "Well it finally all came to a head, last night."
Gabs and Erin stared at her.
"Well I went over there to bring him samples and stuff and one thing lead to another and..."
"And...?" Erin pressed.
"And we, well we..."
"Had sex?" Gabs asked bluntly.
Keyana lowered her head. "I feel like shit. I cheated on Shane and I liked it. I wanted it." She whispered.
"Aww honey." Erin leaned over and hugged Keyana.
"He, he told me he wasn't sorry bout it. I couldn't say it to him, but I'm not, I'm not sorry it happened. I think I hurt him."
"He can't think that didn't mean anything to you." Gabs reasoned.
"He's a guy Gabs." Erin stated matter of factly.
Gabs nodded. "I forgot about that."
Keyana sniffled. "I don't know what to do."
"You know you have to tell Shane. That's a given." Erin announced.
"Oh God I can't! That's what we fought about before. He thought I was seeing Nick."
"That's right, you never did tell us. I can see the problem though. If Shane knows there's been some tension, then this shouldn't be too much of a shock for him." Erin reasoned.
"I just don't wanna tell him."
"You have to Keyana, it's only right." Gabs reasoned.
"I know." Keyana whispered. She knew what she had to do, asking herself if it was worth it. ***********************************************************************
Nick paced back and forth waiting for AJ to arrive. He was hoping that she'd call, but she hadn't. He knew it was a long shot, but he'd hoped that she'd felt what he'd felt last night. Rubbing at his temples, he headed into the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of aspirin, shaking a few out. He took the pills and headed back into the living room. There was a knock at the door and he went over and opened it to see AJ standing there. He walked away, pacing back and forth.
"Nick, man s'up?"
There was another knock at the door, puzzled Nick walked over and opened the door again to find Brian. "Brian?"
"Hey man. Did I miss anything? AJ what happened?" Brian asked, looking over at AJ.
"I dunno, he was just getting ready to tell me." AJ explained.
"Good, ok go ahead Nick."
"You told him you were coming over?" Nick asked AJ.
"Well we were on the phone when you called me, and I told him you called and well..." AJ blushed.
"Fine whatever." Nick sighed.
"Go on man." Brian urged, walking over to sit on the couch. AJ joined him and they looked at him.
"So like I was saying. Last night I..."
There was another knock at the door.
"What in the hell!?" Nick yelled, walking over and opening the door. "Howie?!"
"Hey Nick, what's up?" Howie smiled.
"D, man what are you doing here?"
"Are AJ and Brian here?" Howie questioned.
"Yeah, why?"
"Great!" Howie exclaimed, coming in and sitting next to them. "Go ahead Nick."
"Not you too! Who told you? AJ?!"
"Don't look at me, I didn't." AJ was quick to deny.
Nick looked at Brian in shock. "You!?"
"It slipped. We were on the phone one night and I just sorta told him. It doesn't matter go on." Brian announced.
"Unbelievable. Fine, so anyway. Last night Keyana came over and..."
Once again there was another knock at the door. "It couldn't be." Nick muttered, he opened the door and there was Kevin. "Kevin!? You've got to be kidding me."
"Shut up and let me in. You haven't started yet have you?" Kevin asked.
"No man, he was trying to. Get your ass over here so he can start!" AJ yelled from the couch.
Kevin made his way over and sat with the rest of them. Brian pulled out a bag of Twizzlers and started passing them around. Nick hadn't even noticed him bring them in.
"It's even better when you have something to munch on." He explained, taking a bite out of the candy. Nodding, they all turned and looked at Nick.
"Is everyone ready now? Anyone else I should be expecting? Brian, did you invite anyone else?" Nick snapped.
Brian blushed. "Sorry man, Howie must of told Kevin."
"Sorry B, Kevin called as I was leaving and I sorta told him before." Howie said meekly.
"Whatever, fuck it! Doesn't matter now."
"Anyway, what happened? Did Keyana come over last night and bring those samples?" Kevin asked, biting into his licorice and chewing anxiously.
"Yeah she did. So we had dinner and then she showed me the samples and stuff."
"Stuff?" Howie asked.
"Yeah you know, the other catalogues she brought with her and whatever. So we looked through all of those, and she's getting ready to leave."
"You ass, tell me you didn't let her leave!" AJ exclaimed.
"Well if you'd let me finish the damn story, I'll tell you!" Nick yelled.
AJ cleared his throat. "Sorry, continue."
Nick sighed. "As I was saying, she was getting ready to leave and I told her that I wanted to show her my room and then..."
"Oh yes! Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' bout baby!" AJ shouted, hi-fiving Brian, Howie and Kevin.
"PLEASE!"
They all quieted down.
"So I take her up to her to my room to show her what I did with it."
"What did you do to it?" Howie asked, grabbing another licorice.
"I added some shit to it you know. Showed her what I wanted it to look like when it was finished. Silk sheets and stuff."
"That's it?" Brian asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well I mean I had some candles lit and music playing but that's it."
"Umm hmm." AJ grinned, sharing a look with the guys.
"So anyway, I show it to her and I'm getting ready to leave right, well she stops me."
"Whoa wait, she stopped you?" Kevin questioned shocked.
"Yeah."
"Ohhh!" They all said.
"Go on." Howie grinned.
"Well, she said she wanted me."
"Whoa wait I'm confused. What brought on her announcing her wanting of you?" Brian questioned.
"Nothing, she just said it."
"Daaaamn."Brian whispered.
"Yeah I know. So I asked her if she was sure and she said yes."
"So then what happened?" AJ pressed.
"Well I really don't think I need to say exactly what happened. Let's just say that she left this morning."
"Oh yeah!" Brian yelled.
"Damn skippy yo!" AJ hollered.
Howie and Kevin clapped and were soon joined by AJ and Brian.
"Would you knock it off! She was all upset when she left and she wasn't happy." Nick announced.
They stopped clapping and looked at him solemnly.
"Come on Nick, you didn't think she'd be thrilled she'd just cheated on her boyfriend did you?" Howie reasoned.
"Yeah well she started it." Nick pouted.
"That's a real shitty thing to say." AJ announced.
"Technically, you started it ma man." Brian put in.
Nick sighed. "I know. I mean, I've wanted her for so long and finally it happens and she's upset about it. I know she's feeling bad about cheating, but last night was special for me. It meant something. I told her I wasn't sorry, and she didn't say anything, she just left. I mean, I realized something last night."
"What's that?" Kevin questioned.
"That I'm in love with her."
Dead silence followed.
"You're shittin' us aren't you?" AJ laughed nervously.
"No, I'm not. I mean it just clicked. I'm in love with her. So much so it hurts man." Nick sighed, a pained look on his face.
"What are you gonna do?" Brian asked softly.
"I don't know. If she ever finds out that I knew she was seeing someone when I started going after her, it's over. I can't loose her, I can't."

Hey,
I did it, I had sex with Keyana. It was better than i could ever imagine and the way she felt beneath me, inside...shit. I'm fucked if she ever finds out that i knoew that she had a boyfriend. I was telling the guys today that same thing. She can never find out, never. I love her and i want her. That's right, i love her. I fell in love with her last night when i felt her body tense around mine and i held her in my arms as she called my name. It wasn't just sex to me, it was love. I don't know if i'll ever have her tho, shane is a problem. I'm not gonna force her to break up with him. I want her to come to me. I don't know if that's gonna happen tho. Check it i'm out.
