Chapter 7

"Yeah it went great...to look at the house...that's all AJ!...no...no...stop it!...shut up!...I am not...nothing's gonna happen...I'll remember that yes...smooth I know...whispering, gestures, got it...yes...yes...yeah...I'll let ya know...I will!...aight...later." Nick clicked the phone off and threw the pile of clothes in his hands into the laundry chute. Yesterday had gone better than he planned. The nervousness that he felt melted as he talked to her, he could see her trying to figure out what had happened. After that it was easy. Tonight would prove to be interesting. He looked over at the clock, six fifty-five. Soon.

Keyana walked up to the door and quickly reached down, smoothing her skirt out. Surprisingly, Nick didn't live that far from her. His house was huge, she wasn't expecting it to be this big, but then again she forgot that he was a world famous singer. Rubbing at her face she pressed the door bell. What was more surprising was the fact that she had to buzz just to get through the front gates. She heard footsteps then the door swung open.

"Hi Keyana."

"Good evening Nick."

"Come on in." Nick stepped aside as she stepped in.

"Well this is it."

Keyana nodded, her gaze drifting around, before landing on Nick. "So, are ya ready?"

"Sure am." He smiled and started around his house. "Ok here's the kitchen. Here I wanted to put some different chairs and stuff ya know...make it a little more contemporary." He turned to look at her.

"Hmm...Ok..." She jotted something down in her notepad and moved into another room.

"Ok, here's the living room. I wanted to change the entertainment system totally...I don't know what else to do though."

"You'll probably want a trophy case for your awards and whatnot."

"Yeah, sounds cool."   Keyana nodded and wrote something else down. She felt Nick come up close to her.

"Why don't I take you out back ok?" He whispered.

Keyana turned her head to see him staring down at her, her heart skipped a beat. "O-ok."

Nick nodded. "After you."

Keyana walked ahead of him and she could feel his hand on the small of her back, her skin tingling beneath her clothes. They stopped in front of the sliding door and Nick opened it and they stepped out.

"It's very beautiful out here." She sighed.

"Yeah it is. I love the water." He murmured, watching her expression.

"Mmmm...me too." She opened her eyes, turning to look around the deck. "This is very nice, I don't think I'd want to change anything here. You may want to get new furniture to go along with anything else...but that's it really." She made another note on her pad.

"Ok." Nick replied.

They turned and headed back into the house.

"Ok I'll take you to the bathroom on this level."

They walked thorough the house as they made their way into the spacious bathroom.

"This is nice...I'd want to change the tiling though. A different sink too. " She made more notes, looking around and then writing feverishly.

They made their way up to the next level, and into the six guest rooms and three bathrooms.

"And this...is my bedroom." He opened the door and Keyana walked in, Nick closed the door behind them.

"Well anything changed in here would be totally up to you. Since this is your most private place in the house, you're the one who has to enjoy it." She turned to see Nick leaning against the door watching her, arms crossed over his chest. "Is there...uh...anything you had in mind for...here?" Why was she acting like this? She'd never had this problem with any of her other clients. Of course none of her clients ever looked at her like that...like they were memorizing every portion of her body. She took a step back as Nick stood and slowly made his way over to her. He smiled at her, his blue eyes sparkling.

"I was kinda thinkin' about softening it up a bit ya know. Get some relaxing colors, and for the bed...silk sheets...red, or black maybe. I know silk sheets can be really nice especially in the winter, they keep ya nice and warm. Then a comforter and new drapes and the rest of the room to follow. What do ya think?" He murmured, his warm breath fanning her cheek.

She blinked once, twice and then turned to look at the king size bed, the scent of his cologne surrounding her in a wave sensation. "Yes...yes that'd be very...nice." She pictured the silk sheets, all awry...as if someone had just...just...

"Keyana?"

She turned her head to see Nick looking at her, there was something in his expression, as if he knew what she'd been thinking. "I think I have enough for now. " She said abruptly, turning and heading towards the door, pulling it open and walking out.

Nick watched her stroll through the door, a slow smile spreading across his lips.  Chuckling softly, he made his way out his room and down the stairs to see Keyana standing in the middle of the living room taking more notes. "Got everything?"

She looked up startled.  "Uhh...yes...all set. I'm gonna have to come back again at some point to take some measurements and whatnot. I'm also gonna have to meet with you again to go through some color swatches. I think we should set another appointment. Give me a call tomorrow if you can and we can meet to look at furniture." She replied, pulling her planner out.

"Did you wanna go tomorrow then? I'll just call with a time I'm available."

"Yes, that'll work. It looks like I'm available at two, two thirty, and three."

"Well...I'll give you a call tomorrow morning and let you know when would be good, is that ok or too short of notice?"

"That's fine...just try to call early enough so I can make arrangements."

"Got it."

"Well you have lovely home Nick. I look forward to helping you make it into what you envision it to be."

"So do I." He smiled.

She cleared her throat and headed over to the door. "Well I'll see you tomorrow then."

"See ya." Nick whispered.

Keyana smiled shakily and walked out the door.

Nick closed the door softly, a smile playing over his lips.
