Tabu Presents...The Champagne Room
Copyright 2001

Pulling the door open, she stepped into the club. Quickly her eyes scanned for any familiar face, her eyes rested upon a young girl wiping the bar down. She made her way over and slid into the seat.

"Hey Amanda! Glad you could make it." Erin smiled, placing a drink down in front of her.

"Yeah I guess."

"Oh come on, you're gonna have fun I promise. Interesting things always happen here."

"You know, Michelle and Gabs told me the same thing, Veronica too. What are you guys hiding?"

Erin grinned. "Nothing."

Amanda rolled her eyes. "By the way, where is your partner in crime?"

Just then there was a slam and another young woman came out the back room, waving at the guys at the bar.

"Speak of the devil." Erin laughed.

Veronica made her way over to Erin and Amanda.

"Hey girl! So you decided to come after all huh?"

"Yeah, didn't have anything else better to do."

"Don't jump for joy or anything." Veronica moaned sarcastically.

"Sorry guys, but I'm just not into the whole club scene."

"Yeah, but this isn't your typical club." Erin announced.

"So Howie owns it, big deal. What are the odds of running into him, or any of the guys for that matter."

Erin and Veronica looked at each other.

"You'd be surprised." Veronica smiled.

Amanda raised an eyebrow. "What's THAT supposed to mean?"

"You'll see. Oops, there are some customers. Come on Erin, I have the feeling that Amanda's gonna be busy the rest of the night." Veronica called, pulling Erin away.

"Huh? Why do you say that?" She asked, looking over at Veronica.

She poked her in the side.

"Ouch Veronica! Geeze!" Erin moaned, rubbing at her side. She looked out across the dance floor, the realization hitting her.

Veronica rolled her eyes and continued to pull Erin away.

Amanda shook her head at the two and continued to sip at her drink. What was she doing here? Why had she listened to them?  She should be at home, sitting in a tub full of bubbles, a trashy romance novel in hand. Oh yes, that's where she wanted to be right now. But no, that's not where she was, she was here. Amanda rubbed at her temples; she could feel the starting of a headache coming on. She closed her eyes against the pain.

"You don't look too happy to be here."

"Yeah well that's cause I'm not and I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to hit on..." Her voice trailed off as she looked up into a pair of bright blue eyes.

"Sorry, that wasn't meant as a come on. All I was saying is that you looked about as thrilled as I do to be here is all." He smiled.

Amanda opened her mouth to say something and then decided against it. "Sorry bout that. Nah, I'm not really into the club scene. I'm Amanda." She held out her hand.

"Very nice to meet you Amanda, I'm Brian." He replied, shaking her hand.

"Yeah, I know." She laughed.

"I figured you did."

"So if you don't wanna be here, why are you?"

"I let the rest of the guys talk me into it, they seem to think there's something special about this place." Brian shrugged, sliding into the seat next to her.

"You too?"

"Huh?"

"Well I was told the same thing by a few girls who work here and a few other friends who came here recently."

"Wow, I guess word gets 'round." Brian smiled, his soft accent playing with his words.

Amanda nodded and started to talk just as the next song started up.

"WHAT!?" Brian yelled.

"I SAID, DO YOU..." Again her words were drowned out by the music. Brian held up his hand to stop her. He pointed to his ear before taking her hand and pulling her off the stool. They wound through the crowds of people and Brian led her away towards the back of club and up some stairs. Amanda noticed a bouncer at the top and started to pull away, but Brian held her hand and continued till he came to the top of the stairs. He smiled at the man, and the guy stepped aside to let them through.

"Whoa, I didn't think we were allowed up here."

"Well, normally we're not, at least regular customers aren't. I'm special." Brian laughed as they stopped at a door.

"The Champagne Room?"

"Howie's a nut, what can I say?" He winked, turning the knob and pushing the door open, stepping inside.
"Never been in one before, I guess I never thought they actually existed." Amanda mentioned, looking around the spacious room.

Brian chuckled and walked over to the bar. "Want a drink?"

"No thanks. Mmm it's quiet, I love it. Well with the exception of the vibration of the walls."

He nodded, coming to sit next to her. "Yeah I know. Sometimes it's just too much ya know."

"Mmm."

"I hope I'm not keeping you from anything Amanda."

"No no, I was gonna leave before you came over anyway, just had to make sure the coast was clear."

"Coast was clear?"

"Yeah from my two friends."

"Oh right. Are they that bad?"

"No, I just don't...I dunno. I mean the only good thing that's come from me being here is meeting you."

"The feeling's mutual."

Amanda looked over at Brian. Slowly he set his glass down on the table in front of him and turned to look at her. Amanda raised an eyebrow. "Just so you know, I'm NOT a groupie."

A slow smile spread over his lips. "Wasn't even thinking that."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. Actually I was thinking about what you would do if I leaned over and kissed you."

"Really?"

He nodded, moving closer to her on the couch. "Really."

She giggled nervously. She giggled, she NEVER giggled! Damn him! Her eyes widened as he took her hands in his, looking deep into her eyes. She was a professional, she could handle this, he would NOT unnerve her. Staring boldly into his eyes, she licked her lips daringly. She watched Brian's gaze dart quickly to her lips, raising an eyebrow.

"You know, if you wanted that done, all you had to do was ask." He whispered, leaning over and lightly running his tongue over her lips. Amanda held her breath, not daring to move. It was too perfect.

"Didn't know you'd do it for me."

A devious smile formed on his lips. "There's a lot of things I'd do if you'd only ask."

Amanda stared at him shocked.

"Don't look so shocked honey, there's a lot about me people don't know."

"Damn, I guess so."

"So, is there anything you want me to do?"

"Mmm, maybe..." Before Amanda could say anything else, Brian's lips were on hers. She moaned softly in shock before he pulled away.

"Sorry bout that. That was something I've been wanting to do." He whispered.

"S'ok, I don't mind. I found something you could do for me."

"Name it."

"Kiss me again." Oh she was bold,  but she needed to be in control.

"You got it."

Leaning forward once again, he took her face gently in his hands and kissed her. His tongue ran lightly over her lips again, before plunging inside. His hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.

It just wasn't registering with her. With all of her teachings as a crisis expert, she should be able to find her way out of this. She knew it was wrong, that nothing would ever come of it. Morals, what about her morals? Brian moved his hands up her back, massaging gently as he pushed her back on the couch. Screw morals, his hands were on her and right now morals were the furthest thing from her mind. She swallowed hard as Brian pulled away to look down at her.

"Anything else?"

"Don't stop, don't ever stop." She moaned, pulling his lips back down to hers. Everything after that happened so fast.  Flailing arms and legs and the next thing she knew, they were both naked, Brian poised over her. He moved his lips from hers and down her chest, trailing kisses along the way. His lips closed over her aching flesh, sucking lightly. Her back arched off the couch. Oh god this was crazy! What was she doing? Suddenly his lips were on her other breast and she moaned. She knew exactly what she was doing! Running her hands through his short hair, she held his head in place. He felt so good on her, so heavy.

Brian ran his hands down her legs, slowly pushing them up as he rested between them. She couldn't breathe, couldn't think. He bent down, kissing her deeply before pulling away.

"Amanda..." He moaned as he slowly pushed into her.

She squeezed her eyes shut. It was really happening. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he moved against her. She matched his rhythm, her head thrashing from side to side.

"Amanda,mmm..." He groaned, pushing harder.

"Shit." She breathed. He shouldn't feel this good,  he shouldn't.  Her body felt flushed as he continued to move, the heat building.

"Amanda, I can't...hold back...much longer."

"Oh god." She moaned, her body starting to tighten. He pushed into her one last time as his release came and she tightened around him over and over again. Slumping against her, Brian struggled to catch his breath.

"Shit, that was...shit."

"Yeah, that was really great." Brian muttered against her neck.

She wiped at her forehead, suddenly feeling Brian's body shaking against hers.

"What's so funny?"

"We just broke a major rule." He announced, lifting his head, staring down at her.

"We did? What's that?"

"You know." He leaned down and kissed her first, a long, lingering kiss. "No sex in the champagne room." He laughed.

"Oh god!" She moaned before busting into giggles. "Well it's too bad."

"What's too bad?"

"I plan on breaking that rule again." She smirked, pulling a laughing Brian back down for a kiss.
