| Minutes for August 3, 2002 |
| The meeting began at 6:00 p.m at the Oil City Ikes. The John Barber conducted the meeting. Members worked on 4-H project books, posters for their 4-H projects, and got completed 4-H project books scored. The instructors for each different discipline helped members with difficult or misunderstanding questions in their project books. At the end of the meeting Julie Winters collected dues. ~* Venango Co. Fair Information * ~ The Venango County Fair runs the 9-14 of August 2002. Located at the 4-H Fairgrounds Route 62 South of Franklin. 4-H members can pick up their 4-H Entry Tags for their 4-H projects at the 4-H Fair Office on Thursday, August 8 from 5-8 PM OR Friday, August 9 from 9 am to Noon. 4-H Projects may be removed from the fair buildings on Wednesday, August 14 at 11 PM. Make sure to bring your claim stub off the entry tags ! ~ * 4-H Livestock Auction * ~ Tuesday, August 13, 2002 6PM Phillips Arena Animals raised with tender loving care by Venango County 4-H Members will be sold by auction. Animals to be sold are: LAMBS MARKET HOGS STEERS PRIZED WINNING RABBITS Special arrangements will be made with local meat packers to slaughter, cut, wrap, and freeze whole, half, half or quarter animals for those who desire. |
