The meeting started at 6:00 p.m at the Oil City Ikes. John and Holly Barber conducted the meeting. Kayla Zerbe started the meeting with reading the minutes from the last meeting. Julie Winters gave a treasurer's report saying we have $132.83 total. We talked about how many nights we have shot and held meetings here for the treasuerer's records. The total came to 9 meetings being held at the Ikes and 6 of them we shot during. John Barber brought up the topics of grants and how useful they are to the clubs. He also brought up the issue of Penn State. Venango County will be sending Holly Barber, Ryan Shaffer, and Julie Winters to compete in the Riflery Senior Contest as a team. Cody Doyle and Kelly Seibert will also accompany them as individuals competing in the Riflery Junior Contest and the Air Rifle Junior Contest.. They will leave Tuesday, July 30th and arrive back Thursday, August 1st. John Barber also requested $2,300 to start a an air rifle and rifle program for this year. We also thought of useful ways to advertise our club. Some ideas were putting up posters in local areas and to put minutes in the paper. We decided to move to air rifle next week. Jolene Barber motioned it and Julie Winters second it. Julie Winters and John Barber were voted to be athorized to sign all checks for the club. Meeting ajourned at around 9 PM. |
