Lecture Critique Your overall objective is to provide a three-page typewritten critical analysis on one of my lecture presentations. Yes, any lecture will do so long as you have sufficient notes and confidence to provide a professional assessment. Although this critique is due on the 12th week of the semester, please pace yourself accordingly. Moreover, I will make myself available to ensure you a success paper. Parameters SubstantiveProvide a brief summary of the lecture. This can be accomplished in no more than two paragraphs of 4-5 sentences each. Make sure that you select a lecture that moves you! After you provide a brief summary, you either can assess the whole lecture or perhaps a component of it. For example, in dealing with "History" you can analyze its definition, historiography, or approaches. Or, you can simply compare the linear/progress approach vs. the cyclical approach. Be creative so long as the assessment is complete. Criticize the lecture. By this I do not mean whether you like or dislike my presentation. You need to provide aggressive critical analysis supported by your logic. Remember that there are no right or wrong responses, but you will have to defend your contentions in a reasonable and logical manner. |
