Venturing's purpose is to educate and provide positive experiences for the young adult to mature and apply their experiences to daily life.
Venturing is based on young adults working a relationship with their adult advisors and the community. Each Crew member will learn to work as a team, develop leadership skills, have fun, create friendly relationships and to learn to work independently as well.
Venture Crew activities are based on what the youths (crew) want to do. This is a youth run organization with adult advisor guidance. The advisors are only there to supervise and guide the youth towards their goals. If a youth would like to do a certain activity, it is up to the crew to vote on what to do and not based on one individual
A Venture Crew can specialize in a specific field if it chooses to but it can also explore others. (Example: Crew # 8 can specialize in Canoeing but also has an interest in Accounting)
