Awards
Venturing has its own system of achievement awards that are similar to the Boy Scout Eagle Scout award and merit badges. Below is a description of each award.
Basic Advancement System

Bronze (Level 1) - A crew member can decide to work on all 5 of them or just one. Each bronze is designed to open the individual up into a field of exploration within that subject. The 5 fields are Religious Life, Outdoor, Sports, Arts and Hobbies and  Sea Scout.

Gold (Level 2) - Earning the Gold Award exemplifies to others that he/she has proven outstanding performance in a broad spectrum of of activities and has fulfilled a variety of personal goals.

Silver (Level 3) - The pinnacle of the Venturing advancement program. This award's function is to focus on three principles; Leadership, Ethics and Emergency Preparedness. The purpose of the Silver Award is to show others this individual has achieved goals in personal development, community service and leadership. They are the encouragement for fellow scouts and scouters to live, learn, grow and serve to their fullest in the Venturing Oath and Code.

Expert-Level Awards

Trust Award - Upon earning the Religious Life Bronze Award, a Venturer may choose to earn this award as well. This award focuses on the principles of religion, community and tolerance. The purpose is to open the individual up to a journey to various forms of service and devotion to god. On earning this award, the venturer is recognized as one who understands others but also looks for ways to help others.

Ranger Award - Upon fulfilling the requirements of the Outdoor Bronze Award, a venturer may choose to explore in depth about the outdoors and achieving high levels of proficiency in high adventure level skills. When an individual earns the Ranger Award, they are identified as an elite outdoorsman who is knowledgeable in various sports and interests, highly skilled in outdoor safety (ie. Leave No Trace) and is ready to assist others in any way, shape or form.

Quest Award - Upon achieving the Sports Bronze Award, a venturer may choose to further their knowledge in the traditions of sportsmanship and lifelong fitness. Venturers earning this award allows them to explore various forms of traditional and non-traditional sports as well as building techniques on emphasizing personal fitness.

Sea Scout Advancement System

Apprentice (Level 1) - The first step a sea scout takes towards the Quarter master Award.

Ordinary (Level 2) - An individual who has achieved in the basics of boat handling, maintenance, leadrship and land navigation.

Able (Level 3) - An individual who has achieved the Sea Scout Bronze Award as well as attaining extraordinary skills in leadership both on and off the water.

Quartermaster
Award (Level 4) - One who has achieved the oldest Venturing award in history has become an expert in swimming, seamanship, knots and lashings, leadership as well as a variety of water related skills.
