Introduction
Seventh grade students in this classroom spend their year learning about the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Our seventh grade social studies is divided into "A" and "B" days for our students. This means that one week, your student will have social studies three times a week, and the next week he/she will have social studies two times during the week.

Eighth grade students focus their study on North Carolina. Much of their learning will be directed toward North Carolina's importance within the United States.

Eighth grade social studies is functioning on "A" and "B" days as well this year.

The eighth grade language arts classes will focus on the literature components of the curriculum. Support for grammar and writing will also be a part of the class structure.

The students in language arts meet daily.

Mrs. Farthing can be reached at school (963-4712)during the day. Please leave a message. Your call will be returned during a planning period or after school. She can also be reached by email at farthingkw@watauga.k12.nc.us
