Bay at 1200hrs. This is where we will stay for a few days. We are leaving
Brizzy, where we have done as much as partied at a gay bar and danced to

We are going to townsville in 2 weeks...magentic islands has been
discussed but not decided yet...We are going swimming with sharks
tomorrow....eeeek!

We are in Hervey Bay, Queensland. It is very humid up here the farther
north we get! It is a smalllll town with not much to do but lay by the
beach or the pool...poor us! We went out on scooters yesterday, that
was Steph's first time. We were off to a good start...then steph decided
it would be a good time to fall off her scooter and break her sandal...
she is okay, the bike was not moving! LOL We went through the entire town
in a matter of minutes then went on the back roads...very cute and little.
That was fun and we decided to do that again for xmas when we go out for
kangaroo...yes, we are going to eat roo, not turkey! We have gotten some
really good pictures but, I am having fun keeping you all in suspense so
you will have to wait patiently! HAHAH We have made a few calls home but,
have yet to be really home sick.... I am sure that will come as the holidays
come closer and we aren't at home for them. We have met some interesting
people along the way. Some of which we will be and have been keeping in
touch with. We will be here until Dec 1 then off to McKay. It is very hot
today...so, I have been working on my tan and reading my book. I forgot
what it was like to have a holiday and I don't think I will be able to go
back to work ever again...sorry Wendy! LOL I hope all is well there and
that I hear from all of you. We check our email usually daily, so thank
you all for keeping me updated and grateful that I am here and not there!!!
HAHAHA just kidding. This has really made me appreciate what I take for
granted everyday. Family, Friends, My car! But, it also has made me realize
that experiences like such should be taken advantage of...I am not done yet.
I know I am going to cry when I have to leave because we will have only seen
a small portion of the country, as beautiful as it really is. Well, we were
supposed to go swimming with sharks today, it got postponed to tomorrow.
That will be fun! I want to take out a sea-doo sometime while we are here,
there are just soooo many waves that it will be so much different than the
good old Okanogan that I am used to! I will email again when we have some
more news.... That reminds me, when we were in Newcastle we got chased by
these ugly...not guys....ducks! They were huge and they had ugly faces that
looked like they were scarred as a duckling...Then we had a run in with a
blue tongue lizard and a tree lizard. Then in Brisbane we were hunted by the
aboriginals...don't get me wrong they were regular people...but, rude and
always asking for something! See, with the good comes the bad and they chase
you! Mom you don't have to worry, those are the only things chasing me...no
boys yet! But, contrary of popular belief, the boys here aren't all that
attractive. Some are but, most of them aren't! All the movies I watched mislead
me....I'm coming home for that reason only! LOL
