My First Visit We know that visiting a church for the first time can be difficult. So here is a list of questions and answers that might help with your first visit. 1. What time should I come? 9:30 Sunday School 10:30 Worship Service 6:00 Evening Worship 2. What about my kids? We have Sunday School classes for everyone. If your child would rather come with you to Sunday School, that is not a problem. For the Worship Services, we have a nursery for infants up to 4 years old. The nursery is downstairs, half-way down the hall. 3. What should I wear? Some of our folks dress in suits, others dress down. We do not have a "dress code." Come as you are! But if you really want a basic guide, wear what you might wear if you were going out on a date. 4. What should I expect in the worship service? Our service is characterized by a reverence for Almighty God. We want people to feel the weight of His existence and power. We sing both hymns and newer songs with a piano accompaniment. There is quite a bit of time devoted to prayer and reading of Scripture. The sermon usually lasts about 30 minutes. Usually the service ends around 11:30 AM. |
