A lot of people ask what the difference is between the grand Mayan and the Mayan Palace. The Grand Mayan is a separate facility on the same property as the Mayan Palace. The key word here is GRAND. The Mayan Palace resorts have already been called the most spectacular in Latin America. The grand Mayan units take it three notches up in luxury with such things as a jacuzzi in the bedroom, a cooling pool on the private balcony and more spacious, elegantly decorated rooms. Also, as a "Grand Mayan" guest, you will receive an armband/bracelet that lets you access the gym and also the big jacuzzi, steam room and sauna at the spa location. The armband also allows you FREE access to the aqua park while other Mayan Palace guests are charged to use the spa and aqua park.
The resorts are 20 miles from the Cancun Airport, 3 to 4 miles from the Acapulco Airport and about 15 minutes from the Puerta Vallarta Airport.
