||||
ok, here we go: the probe is being stupid, likes to idle all over the place, between 1100 and 2400 rpm, gonna check it out when i can, fixed missing (plug wires), needs rear motor mount repair/checkup 04/28/05 for the first time in 3 months, it idles on its own!! apparently the dumbass that owned it before me left a breather hose off of the rear valve cover, probes won't run w/ nasty vacuum leaks! 9-28-05 ok, so apparently the $30 wheel bearing is 290% more at a shop ($117), so i'll have a friend help me out getting my RR Racing mount inserts soon!! grabbed a 10.20 at magnolia, spinning thru first and burning clutch through second (new clutch next spring) wheel bearing replaced last weekend, thanks to one of my dad's buddies installed front RR Racing polyurethane engine mount insert (incredible difference!!) have to wait till i pull the engine/trans next year for the rear insert 10-13-06 so... power windows shorting out... antifreeze under the car today, don't know what's up with that (apparently it was nothing) sealed up cracks in the intake tube elbow, solved almost all the up and down idle problems still needs a clutch, but it'll last exhaust is leaking very bad... which makes the window thing even more annoying half shaft has been grinding since 2 weeks after i got the car back on the road distributor kept cutting out a month or so ago... then it failed... so i stole one off my brothers pgt... fixed not enough money to keep this car going... but still the best car i've owned 11-17-06 knocking noise in rear is a worn left rear sway bar endlink (expensive little bastard...) still no left front sway bar endlink exhaust stinks, windows don't work, jackshaft still grinds, needs a right hub (bearing replaced, hub destroyed from loose axle) a/c system finally GONE! FINALLY got the pump gear for the isuzu's tranny! 11-16-06 maybe the lowrider will be out soon... dan's accord is almost done, put an 86 lude si engine in it, finally got the prelude pedals to fit (4 hours of work), converted it BACK to 5 spd so close to being done, the car hasn't been driven in a year, and never since he owned it update - accord's been on the road for a few weeks now, damn is that thing loud dan's new job is treating him well (advanced auto), and he should be slappin some cash into the car soon gonna be the only 87 hatchback w/ 18" rims in this county! sweet job dan!! what a ride, pulled a 10.4 in the 1/8 mi at Magnolia Raceway!!! dan's got dave's old '91 ef hatch... with a B16A and 5 spd installed... couple misc. parts left to go . . . the '91 subaru legacy... no interior, no marker lights, no right fender, 2 pc front bumper... no heat (damn it gets cold in Ohio) bruce, you better be buyin this thing! she needs a(nother) new owner! 200,801 mi subaru: sold, 10-8-05 both of the bugs need restored and reassembled... one rust free, one rusted frameless... should get a set of 4.5" drop struts... or the MAXX strut setup i'm starting to miss driving the bugs around... maybe next year... need to fix that minibike... 3hp clinton, new brake band, new brake lever, needs repainted again (yellow?!) i've got 2 go karts... none in running order oh, my brother has one too... with a blown clutch the honda (supralude) needs a fuel pump to run... and about every imaginable part (full suspension, full exhaust, tons of bodywork, paint, rewiring... stereo... custom frontend) engine is in worse shape than i've ever seen a running engine look like... valves look like charcoal i've decided to cut out the floor and put an aluminum-based ladder chassis in A20's rule!! (110hp) but B20a prelude/accord engines are better (160hp/138ft.lbs) parts prelude is nearly stripped (down to wiring harness, suspension, glass, and a few misc. panels still on car) parts prelude: junked supralude: junked nissan almost back on the road (hail B13s honda boys) need new 205/50/15s for my enkei's my brother gave me the money and i picked up the $200 GA16DE with around 83K on 12-17-04 engine installed, but we're still having starter wiring problems damn nissan... too cool to be driven i guess just gonna sit till i can fix her next year might be awhile now i think my strut assemblies were thrown away (oops) 10-7-06 - FINALLY got the engine running... boy, missing ground straps can be a bitch! the neon is parked for the winter (2004/5), need to get the rims rebuilt, windshield pillars need welded... clutch is out, but i've got a new tranny to put in getting a rollcage with removable roof supports should was estimated at $400 gotta make that removable roof. It's also gonna need a tune-up and a good cleaning to fit with the new paint i'll get. working on a custom hood, it's probably gonna have a bump on the left side (rather than the usual right side or a huge SRT-style bump w/ scoop okay, the neon is out, but after failing to attend the July 8/9/10 Slam Jam X car show, it still sits after about 10 breakdowns engine's back in, battery's in the trunk, new alternator... but it won't start anymore i'm thinking fuel filter... but alt. connections will be replaced regardless the neon will be sitting again this winter, still can't get it to run right (despite new alternator and replacement computer) w/ 50 mi on new engine fluids, it's got many months left in the garage traded alternator in... didn't fix got 13.2V at the battery, engine running... too low realized the nice, quick-release battery terminals i had from the battery relocate come with a very high-resistance powdercoated finish scraped off the power terminal, 13.8V; scraped off the ground terminal, whalla! 14.2V now it overheats on it's own (despite replaced thermostat...) what the hell is with this car??? AS FOR THE WAGONS: they have both been taken away to the graveyard :( the grey wagon is still sitting there... i've gotta get an engine in that thing... not sure what to do... doesn't even have a wiring harness... been pricing some used Z24s for parts... definitely want airbags or airshocks. red wagon needs rebuilt after the backroad drifting rollover event surprisingly, it's not too bad i need a driver side window and front windshield, possibly new pillars though the left side has hellalots of dents... it could use 4 new doors, they all suck now i just want it drivable again, i mean, it's only got 96,000 mi. it looks like i might be cutting the roof off the red one... that'll leave a cool "minitruck" project... get a windshield setup out of Z24 ( more rake ) can you say "SAW-ZALL PARTY!" if only someday... |
