MORE ROCK ART
I love this cute little duck. It was a co-project with a young lady I volunteered with, at a school here in San Diego.  Maybe I love it so much becasue she was inspiried to see the rocks as something more than just what they appeared to be, maybe it's just 'cuz it's so darn cute!
One of my Mom's first attempts at this type of detailed artwork from Lin Wellford's book "How to paint animals on rocks"
...Pretty Good, don't ya think?!
I have to say the "how to paint houses and cottages..." book by Lin Wellford is my favorite.  They seem to be a little easier to follow and the rocks are quite easy to find too!  This church was fun because I was able to use some pipecleaner and add a real bell to the top. (It jingles and everything!)
Sometimes my friends, who normally do not express any artistic tendencies, will surprise me and point out that a rock that looks like something I did not think of.  For example, this french fries rock was suggested by my friend Tim when he visited from L.A., and so I painted it that weekend.
This thatched cottage is quite big and makes a great garden ornament...all I need now is a garden to put it in.
