A:Hi I'm Eepee, and I play bass and sing for Punktual.
Rest of the band is:
Matthias: guitar and vocals.
Johan: guitar
Henk-Jan: drums
Q:How did you guys meet and how did starting a band come into the picture?
A:Well Johan and I have been friends since high school. Johan played guitar and I could sing and had a bass guitar so we figured than we only needed a drummer. At a party we found out that Matthias (a friend from the local punk and skate (BMX) scene.)was a pretty good singer as well and he also played guitar, so than we only needed a drummer. Luckily, Matthias had a friend who played drums, called Henk-jan and so Punktual was born in the cold February of 2000....
Q:How did Punktual get its name?
A:Don't know really... We were probably drunk when we came up with that one...
At first we were called D.N.A. but as we found out that name already existed, we changed it.
Q: How would you describe your music for potential listeners (i.e. the readers of this interview)?
A: Happy, melodic punk rock.... with some ska and hardcore influences.
Q: Who are your guys' influences?
A: Wooooh... there are so many. For me the biggest are probably; New found Glory, Mest, Ataris and NOFX!!! (and many many more....)
Q: Who writes the songs?
A: We all do.
Q: What kind of topics do you address in your songs?
A: Girls, Beer, Sex, and uuuh... Girls.
Q: Does Punktual have any pre-show/post-show rituals/routines?
A: Well... I smoke a lot of cigarettes.... and drink some beers, if I don't have to drive that is.
Q: What is the music scene like in Holland?
A: It's okay, we have some really great punk rock bands over here like Undiclinable, Sellfish, One clear moment and The riplets.
Q: What band would you die to tour with?
A: Touring with NOFX would be awesome!!!
Q: What is something that your fans might not know about you?
A:That Matthias hair is turning gray, while he's only 23....
That Johan is at his most attractive when he had too much to drink.
That Henk-Jan has the most and worst hangovers you can imagine.
And that I'm the perfect boyfriend, only no one knows.....
Q: If you were marooned on a desert island, which member of the band would you eat first?
A: I would eat me, `cause I'm the fattest.... and I probably taste better anyway.....

Q:What does Punktual do in their spare time?
A: Try to get dates.
Q: Name your drug of choice.
A: That would be grass... `cause it is LEGAL and cheap here in Holland!
Q: What is the best rumor that you have ever heard about yourself?
A: If you've heard a rumor about us..... believe it cause it's probably true...
Q: What's your favorite 80's tune?
A: The A-Team theme....
