D: Me(Dave) in and BJ(drums) were playing in a band with me on vocals and guitar and him on bass. We knew Zach from playing with him in another band and I knew Ben from a music camp we had done years ago. We added Zach(guitar) and Ben(guitar) to this other band but soon realized we did not like the music we were making. We kicked out our drummer and moved BJ to the drums. We also threw out all of our old songs. We tried out many different bass players eventually finding Greg who fit perfectly. This line up came together in July of this year.
K: How old are you all and can you legally drink yet?
D: None of us can legally drink, me, BJ, and Zach are all 19. Greg is 15 and Ben is 17.
K: So whats the punk scene like in philadelphia?
D: I don't really no we usually play or try to play with metal and hardcore bands. One of my favorite bands from the area right now is mykado their website is www.sorrowsend.com/mykado everyone should go and check them out.
K: has anything crazy happened at any of your shows? (ex: crazy clowns demolishing the equipment, someone slipping on water and breaking their leg.. yeah)
D:Not really we get into our music but beyond that nothing really crazy has happened.
K: Are you trying to accomplish anything in particular with your music?
D: To be the best band that we can and make music that we enjoy. Our songs cover many different styles of music. We are influenced by just about everything, hardcore, metal, hip-hop, jazz, funk, etc. If you go to www.mp3.com/sensefracture you can hear some of our songs, our spacecore song weightlessness and (hopefully it will be up by the time you post this) one of our heaviest songs in shades of gray.
K: do you guys have any pre-show rituals/video games/candle burning sessions?
D:BJ stretches and likes to play without his shoes beyond that no.
K: what do you guys do in your spare time?
D: School, work, friends, girlfriends, music, movies, were pretty normal guys.
K: oh, heres the question we have to ask- do you think girls should be in punk bands?
D: Yeah, everyone should be in a band. Our first show we played was with dreams forever drowning a female fronted hardcore band and we are also going to play a show with Manhunt another female fronted hardcore band. I listen to Mazzy Star and Tori Amos and BJ loves Denali.
K:what bands suck, and why do you think so?
D: Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Adema, Godsmack, Nelly, Ja Rule, and any music that is made for the almighty dollar instead of being made as an artistic statement.
K: have you ever done anything exciting and/or illegal?
D:I have been in trouble with the police for underage drinking and trespassing.
K: do you like cucumber,avocado and cream cheese sandwiches?
D: no!
