UPDATE 3.07.02 - getting to know las vegas, getting to know some people ..........
alright, well we are starting to get things rolling here a bit. last night (wednesday) to this local neighborhood car and had a couple drinks, I had been up there earlier in the week , and was talking to the bartender and waitress, and they both were really cool. So, we went up there for a little bit. Side note here, the bartender there looks kinda like Uzzell, in fact
i'd label him as "bizarro Uzz". dosen't have quite the guns that Uzzy has, but still bears a striking resemblence.  In a related story, the waitress there that i had been talking to on monday night when i went up there by myself (long story), was working out earlier in the day  at the health club where we just joined. It was our first time running into someone we knew out and about . a small and pretty f*cking stupid milestone, yet a milestone nonetheless. anyway, we to make a long story short, her and a few of the waitreesses at the said Neighborhood bar are going to Light at Bellagio on Sunday, and threw the invite out to me and Dorsey. so, that will be cool, providing that there isn't a "no low-roller" rule at at that club.
So, we took off from that bar and went down to the ventetian with intentions of going to jack's velevet lounge, but it was closed. So, we hit up this club/lounge next door,  Venus @ the ventetian. Really cool place, we just kinda chilled on some couches and took in the scenery. everywhere we go, i've been just introducing myself to people and last night was no different. I figure if i meet a new person a day, that will really  pay off down the line.
Also, the GM of our health club is a really, really cool guy, and is looking into scoring us a job somewhere at a club. so .. something will be happening here pretty soon job wise. In the meantime, planning on going to Mandalay tomorrow to start the Lifegaurd Certification class.
tuesday night (i know im going backwards, forgive me) we went down to bellagio and watched the sharks/predators game. that hotel is just ridiculous, so nice, just looking at it  is "bowdown". funny story. I mean, obviously when you are gambling, you get your drinks free, right?  the same applies for when you are watching a game at a Sports Book, I mean, $1 or $2 a drink is prolly the standard tip. Obviously high rollers will throw a hundy for a drink, and ill throw the occassional $5 or more just so the waitress dosen't forget about you. but anyway, so we are siting there at the Bellagio mind you, and the watiress sereves a guy in front of us, and we hear the clinking of change as he dumps prolly less than 50 cents into her hand. what a frickin hoosier, are you kidding me? i mean, you might not be classy, but if you are at a classy place, atleast act the part. thought about firing over a peice of ice from my drink ,but passed.
so, everything is going great out here so far except for the fact that i have knocked my shoulder out of the socket a couple times. ill explain. me and justin were up playing hockey at this park up the street, and there is one of those "skateparks" next to the outdoor roller hockey rink.  i always wanted to give inlining on those things a try, so sure enough after like 2 minutes of  going up and down the little halfpipes, i fall down, and my shoulder is all wacked out, and then just snaps back into place. then, an hour later, we are swimming in the pool, and apparently i forgot about the previous incident, and was swimming really fast, and yup, you guessed it, the shoulder comes out of the socket, and is just hanging there limp. really screwy deal, after about five minutes of staring at it, i finally got it to snap back in, but anyway, now it's a little soar. well, i think we are going to go mountain biking today, watch me  fall off the damn bike and get hurt. well, take care, and ill get at you.
