| UPDATE 3.15.02 - March Madness, Ztejas, & Hurricane Harry's |
| alright, well after a couple of slow nights, we got back in the mix last night. actually took tuesday and wednesday off from going out. the lack of a job is kind of getting us i guess. the funds are hitting some lowpoints that we don't like to see them at, like negative. don't worry, vegas hasnt gotten old or anything like that. the last few days have been occupied by trying to get a job at Ztejas out herein the suburbs. Obviously, the lifegaurding money wont be enough to get by so, if we can just score a restaraunt job a few nights a week or something, we should be set up pretty good. today will mark the fourth straight day we have been in there. The first day, we went in to fill out applications. The second day we went in to talk to the "lady who hires". Third day we got interviewed, and today we go in for a "Second interview". I guess the first interview was just to make sure you didn't just go off on a tangent about ripping the head off a dog or something when speaking in a social situation. . not sure, first time i've ever had a second interview for a restaraunt. anyway .. spent the day yesterday watching the mizzou game and other NCAA games. How does the NCAA tournament consistently get more exciting and crazy every year? awesome. close call for my boy Romeo's buckeyes, thought they were going down to Davidson. Hopefully Mizzou will get them. Last night, went up to Timber's up the street to watch the Blues game on the big screen and have a bite to eat. Then we went to Hurricane Harry's. It's kind of a cheesy, college bar, so right up our alley. ha .. anyway just kind of kept a low profile and chilled. but it seems like a really fun place to be. i was doing the "fake drunk man aboutabout to pass out routine", asking people "have you seen my friends?", went over pretty well ... riiiiight ... like that routine ever goes over well. You are usually teetering on the delicate line between getting a fist to the face or a punch to the gut. You haveto know when to cut it off. anyway, so this is our second weekend in vegas with st. patty's day at the end of it? should be fun ... ill let you know how it goes, and hopefully me and dorsey will both have these jobs by the end of the weekend. we had to go get hepatitis shots this mornning, so it's time for a nap, before the "second interview" scott |
