Hello and welcome to the Zerg strategies section. This strategy is one from myself and many others on Bnet and I think it is a really good strategy for the zerg, i've only lost once using it in 1v1 matches and almost never lose on 2v2, 3v3, etc.
Ok, the first thing to do in this strategy is to find resources and LOTS of them, your gonna need a massive economy to support this attack strategy, this strategy is PURELY offensive and requires a minimum of micro-management. Let me just go ahead and tell you this strategy is called the Mass Hydra Rush Attack, and man is it deadly when used right. Ok, second is to start cranking in those resources and start by building, oohhh about 12 hatcheries. Once those are built build up your tech tree for the Hydras. Once youve got sufficient minerals start cranking out those hydras. After youve got alot of them standing around select 12, click ctrl-1, then burrow them. Double click one, itll select 12 unburrowed hydras, click ctrl-2, burrow. Repeat until youve got 10 groups, 1-0, or until you think you will uterly destroy them and comence with the attack, after there all grouped unburrow them all and click A with each group and click behind there base were there resources would be. Now its just sit back and watch the carnage time as your MASSIVE force of hydras completely obliterates everything in between them and that poor bastard's base. Unless your playing a really good defensive player your going to win easily, especially if those hydras have been fully upgraded, then ooh shit he has no chance at all. Using this strategy I always get a "Holy Shit ahh nooooooo, how did you, AAHHH!, IMMPPOOSSIBLE!!!" as they are crused by my stampeding herd of hydras. (Note: this strategy is not flawless and youll still lose if they attack first most of the time as your hydras are your only defensive units and for some reason they dont work as well, thats why its called a rush b/c you need to hit them first and hit them hard to ensure victory) Also, if your not completely sure of a victory upon your first attack, BUILD MORE UNITS! Dont just sit there and watch them all die build more so you can launch a second wave on em'. |
