| Creatii An Eraen Fable Adopted from "The Story of The Jellyfish" in "Ishmel" by Daniell Quinn |

| Once, on a small and distant planet called Creatii , which was almost completly covered in ocean, a Recorder, whose job was to record the beliefes of all creatures everywhere, ran into the very first senteant being to develope on that planet. It was a jellyfish. Ecstatic over his find, the recorder called out to the jellyfish. "Jellyfish, oh, Jellyfish, could you spare a moment to talk to me?" " "Of course!" Said the jellyfish. "Jellyfish, could you tell me please, your creation myth?" the Recorder asked. "MYTH!!!" exclaimed the jellyfish," I know no myth, I know only fact." Then remembering his training, the Recorder said, " Fine then. Tell me how all this came to be." The jellyfish waved his tentakals and began proudly, " Alright, Once a long time ago a thing called the Great Bang created the first stars and planets. Thease Stars and planets were then catagorized into Solar systems and galaxys and universes. And in one of thease universes there was a planet capable of sustaining life. And after much evolution the Jellyfish was formed." And this is where the Jellyfish's story ended. ''But," asked the Recorder, " What comes after you?" At this that Jellyfish laughed and said, " Why Nothing!!!" As if it had been the most obvious thing in the world. Well, a thousand years passed before the Recorder reviseted Creati. This time the Recorder was shocked to see not only jellyfish, but also many sharks on the small world. "Shark, oh, Shark, could you spare a moment to talk to me?" the Recorder called to a nearby shark. " Of course!" replied the shark as it swam over to the Recorder. "Shark would you tell me please your creation myth?" The Recorder asked. " MYTH!!!" replied the shark "I know no myth." The Recorder began again. "Fine then, will you tell me then, how all this came to be?" |

As the Shark swam away, the Recorder began to think. How could thease species be so vain as to think that they were the ultimate creation, the thing that the whole universe was created for?
