It spawned numerous plush toys, books based on the character, games, trading cards, children's lunch boxes, apparel and websites....and then they all disappeared..... |

| WHY did Garfield and Friends fade out of the hearts and minds of yesterday's american youth? WHY did we forget and abandon the ONLY reason there was to get up EARLY on a Saturday Morning? Is it because of our ages or lack of substance in each 10 minute plot? Is it because the show lacked the stamina to be remembered years after it was canceled?.... NO. The theory I've come up with is much worse... NO ONE CARES anymore. No one remembers it, no one talks about it, no one seems to miss it, therefore it seems that no one cares about it... But I do... |
