They had first met on the 27th of December. She knew the date very well. It had been snowing, and had been her first view of the world. She was 8 years old. She didn't know how it had happened really. One minute, she was sleeping, and the next, she saw the world. She saw snow, people dancing, laughing, and with a pang, knew that she was missing all this. All... all this.
Holding on, she had stayed, and had felt herself move. She was only looking through someone elses eyes. But how? She didn't know. She made her way towards a mirror. Or rather, the body did. But two gasps rose in the air. Hers, and the body's.
She saw for a split instant, curls of blonde hair, and large, pale blue eyes. Then, she saw someone else. Straight black hair with green eyes, one such a sad face. She knew this was her. And that the other, was her sister.
Call it a gut instinct, because that was what she thought of it as. She knew somewhere, that the image before, had been her sister. And for some strange reason, they shared the same body.

She tried so hard to get back into the world. But all she saw was darkness. All she felt was darkness. She couldn't move, couldn't see, couldn't smell. But she could hear. She could hear the thoughts of her sisters, and through this... through this, she learnt how to talk.
Then, she started to think as well, to talk. And it seemed her sister heard her when she talked. But she would never listen. Her sister talked back to her, but she was always thinking her words, while she herself said them outloud.
She learnt with her sisters help, and soon, she knew it would be time to greet the world. Her sister taught her about money, love, life, food, about everything while she remained in the darkness. And for this, she was grateful. Her sister had shown her how to live.

The first time she saw the world, was when she was 16. It was her sister's birthday, April 13, on a Friday. She had suddenly found herself swimming, and saw a glimmer a light. Reaching for it, she fell into her sisters body. It tried to push her out, but she faught tooth and claw. She would not loose her place. Holding on, the body started to gag as she pushed, and filled it. But she was sharing the view. She knew it, because it was tight, not loose. She could feel another presence.
She tried moving her arms, they lifted. She opened her mouth, and closed it. She turned, and saw a mirror, and looked in, gasping. Half of her, had curling blonde hair down to the shoulders, and large, innocent blue eyes, and such a innocent smile. So this was what her sister looked like. And just from looking at her, she knew that this girl, was someone she would protect.
Turning, she saw the other half, and felt another gasp rise. But it wasn't her that was gasping. She knew this was her. It had to be her. The eye staring back, were green. Not a innocent green, but a green full of wisdom, and full of life. Her hair was straight and black, a black that didn't give color, but kept it for itself. It was long, down to mid-back, with no fringe.
She turned back to look her sister in the eye, to see her watching her warily, but with such friendliness, she couldn't help but shudder. Opening her mouth, she said her first words.
"Whats your name?"
Her sister spoke out.
"Angela... but you can call me Ela. No one else does. What about you?"
She was surprised at the sound of the voice, it was different from the one she herself had used. It was light and cheerful, always so full of laughter, as if all she did was laugh. It was high, sort of soprano-like, and so damn cheerful, she felt like gagging.
She thought for awhile, about her name, and her lips curved into a smile.
"Lucifer, but you can call me Luci."

Luci and Ela had learnt to share the body. One of them would always be listening in, a task they had accomplished without the other's colorings showing through. And then, if one of them felt like intruding, they would ask, and then intrude. Which never worked. Luci always forgot about the asking part. But it was half her body!
Ela's parents didn't know about the split personality. Luci never considered Ela's parents to be her parents. She didn't know where she belonged. They often had long talks involving the issue, and it always seemed to stay unsolved.
Then one day, Luci had felt a tug. Not a strong one, but a tug non the less. A tug that seemed to one to pull her out of Ela's body. It hadn't been strong, so Luci could ignore it, but it was there non the less.
It happened while they were shopping for food. Luci had wanted to go to the meat section, while Ela wanted to go to the Fruits and Vegetables. And then, Luci had felt that tug once again, and she had allowed it to pull on her. It had been like... like she was being sucked out of her body through the sides, and she had suddenly found herself staring at Ela through her own eyes. But no one else seemed to notice her. Then, as is Ela noticed, she pulled, and Luci felt her pull, the pull they feel when one it trying to think words to the other, and Luci fell back in place.

She was 19 now, and they were down at the village, when a large green-gold dragon had appeared. Luci had been hiding away, but saw the dragon before Ela did. Maybe because she wasn't paying attention to the work. But Ela had been interested as well. So they made their way down to the dragon, so see it. Green/gold was not a color they saw often. Especially in dragons. Peering forwards, the dragons scanned the young men and woman, when her eyes locked with theirs... no, with Ela's.
She didn't hear the words, but she knew what was being said. 'Come, I have searched for you, you will make a good candidate.'
Luci felt her world fall around her, and didn't know what to do. Ela had been happy, and had accepted. Luci tried to talk to her, to tell her that... she couldn't deal with it, but Ela had shut her out.
Luci watched then, almost isolated as Ela got helped onto the dragon to leave for the Healing Den. She left with her, and thoughts screamed through her mind, thoughts on Ela, dragons, and things involving her. She watched then, as a woman welcomed her to the Healing Den. Baeris... her name flickered in her mind, and she knew she had to take charge of something... some how. She knew of this lady, and this place. Who didn't? Many odd candidates had impressed, and Luci felt a pang. She didn't want to leave Ela, maybe this lady would understand. She must have seen her own share of odd people. Maybe she would know the answer.
Hoping Ela would forgive her, as she cared for her sister; Luci barged in, and felt her sister yelp in surprise. She felt her hair shift, and as she blinked her eyes, they turned from their blue to a green, a green lit by anger and... and hope.
"Baeris..."
She stated, and saw the woman's eyes widen for a second, and felt perverse pleasure that she had startled someone. Ela didn't understand, but Luci liked watching people squirm, watching people give in to her. It made her know that she was more then a mere soul sharing a body.
"I have a favour to ask of you."
The woman's eyes widened, then cool.
"And it is?"
She asked, in a voice as frosty as her own.
"Don't let my sister stand."
Luci felt the horrified shock of her sister, and did all she could to keep her down. Her eyes started to flicker green, blue, green, blue, then green again, until she gave in, and they started to share the body.
Most people found this fascinating. Their features would split exactly in half, and muscles would appear, where muscles shouldn't be, so that one half would frown, while the other half laughed. It had always been like that. Luci took control of the left brain, while Ela took control of the right brain. Except, it was not the brain they controlled exactly, but body. Only body.
"Luci? Why aren't you happy for me?"
THe voice was high, helpless, and oh so innocent, and Luci felt herself gag. But also sympathy. She loved her sister, and felt... guilty. But... she steeled her will.
"Stick with the facts Ela, it is impossible to let to impress, -if you do- with me sticking around in this body. Do you know what it feels like even now, to have no life, and only appear occasionally? Do you Ela? You have a family, a life, people know you, I have nothing. And if you impress, don't you realise its going to be worse? A dragon would have bonded with you, mind and soul, and where does it leave me? We all know that we are different souls, just trapped in the same body. If a dragon bonds to you, what does that leave me with? What I had before I came into your life. Nothing, and black emptiness."
Ela stood, and it seemed to hit her then, because she stayed silent. Luci watched, and turned back to Baeris, who was watching them with interest. Luci stared back.
"I presume you noticed our little problem?"
She drawled, and Baeris flinched, but only so slightly, if she hadn't been looking for it, she wouldn't have noticed.
"There is a chance, that if you both stand, something might happen. I'm not saying it will, but two souls aren't trapped inside the same body without a reason, and mayhap we will find the reason at the hatching. Afterall, it is almost hallow's eve."
Baeris murmured.
Luci watched and nodded, as if accepting. But what was she truely accepting? The fact that they were two souls, and they would both stand? Or that something might happen, as it was almost hallow's eve.

Luci looked up sharply, and her frown lessened. Kuzai stood infront of her, its left head grinning, bearing teeth. This will be fun, won't it? My sister promises not to interfere, and so does yours. For an hour, we have all the time in the world. The face exclaimed. But then, me and my bond will have all the time in the world, remember that sister dear.
Luci looked down frostily at the other face. Ever since they had first impressed, Luci had felt more... connected to the left side. They shared the same emotions, the same thoughts, and the same thirst for... for... fear. And both teased their other side unmercifully.
"Yes Kuzai, we do have all the time. Now lets get out of this place. I have a few scores to settle with. Some men who made fun of us..."
THe smile was pure evil, as a strange light glinted in Luci's eyes.
Sis, be careful. I don't want to suddenly find myself without an extra head. And I want some time with Ela. The calmer voice warned. Luci laughed, it was a wild laugh, as she felt her mind free itself. Boy, were they going to have fun, or have fun?
