Hatching of Clutch 4

Gem looked over at Red with a smug smile. "Its your turn to bring in the candidates." she said, grinning. "I brought them in last time you know." It was true. Eeppoth had called for the candidates in total, 4 times, three times today, and once yesterday. The candidates had left, arrived, left, arrived, etc etc.

I swear, the eggs are going to hatch this time! The blue yelled stubbornly. So bring them in already!

Eeppoth sweetie, their coming in. I sent a message to Naeodin to bring them in. Now hush, all of our little babies will impress.

As Sachioth soothed the worried mother, the candidates did start filing in, all six of them. The five eggs were in the middle of the sands, displayed for all to see. As the candidates settled down a little, Gem smiled. Get ready to rumble... she thought, and grinned.

The first egg to hatch was one of the smallest, revealing a small blue. He was the size of a average blue, and a pale sky blue color. As the blue shook the wetness off of its wings, he looked around for a moment. Getting up, he stumbled towards the three male candidates, then pause. Heading towards the females, he let out a sudden yelp before falling face forward into French's legs.
How did my tail get there before me? French gasped, and frowned, and then looked around. Yes, I'm talking to you French. My name is Marjeth and I am female. What do you expect? I'm my mothers child. The female blue said with a slighty cheeky voice. Don't worry, I'm far more better then any gryphon. And I'll prove it!
French grinned down at the tiny hatching, and chuckled, before leaving the sands.

As the crowds watched the first pair leave, they looked around with confusion. A female blue? Some of them smiled... what else would the clutch unfold?

The next two eggs to hatch were slightly larger in size. As they hatched open, it unfolded a small pale blue hatchling, and a small, dark green hatchling. They both stared at each other for a moment, before heading oppisite ways. The dark green went towards the males, and paused infront of Elduen.
There is a reason you were not interested in those gods and goddesses. For I am here for you, and far more important. The voice was no doubt a male voice, and as the green looked up at the Drow Elf, he lost all of the seriousness. Don't you think I'm important Elduen? I am so important. You can worship me if you like. The green said in a rather cheeky voice.
"Oh Demiroth..." Eldeun sighed, yet he couldn't keep the smile out of his words.

Meanwhile, the small blue had calmly made her way towards the Moon Elf. Haela looked down, puzzled, yet her eyes lighting with hope. She bent down to the little blue, who looked up at her with glee.
You are mine rider! For I am Spissimoth, and we will be together for ever! Haela grinned as she looked down at the blue, and smiled. Like her sister, this blue was no doubt female.
"Spissimoth..." she murmured, trying the name out on her tongue. "Spissimoth... I like it."

The next egg to hatch, was a rather large one. It didn't hatch, but seemed to just... appear out of nowhere. The egg was there one moment, and the next, tiny cracks had appeared all over the egg until the shell seemed to... drop off the dragon.
This dragon, was a large hatchling, and a pale olive-bronze color. He sat there for a moment, preening under the admiring gaze, and moved straight towards the females. The audience watched, confused at the sudden change in... genders, and watched as the bronze headed straight for Kaz.
My name is Kimoth Kaz, you must be used to hearing us in your head, aren't you? The bronze hatchling had a soft, musky feminen voice as she crooned. And you are my rider... but you know that, don't you?
As Kaz was about to walk off the sands, she looked back at the audience, and grinned. Shkeln waved back, which caused Eeppoth to look over with interest.

The last egg left on the sand was rather large, with small brown speckles in the corner. And this didn't hatch, it erupted. Not with a BANG, but with a...

BRUUUP. At that moment, everyone's attention was drawn to the hatching egg. Out of nowhere, shot out two wings, a tail, and a head. As they watched, the hatchling let out a snuffle before bursting out of the egg. Sitting there, the hatchling started to clean itself up, ignoring the suspense it had caused.
People looked around confused. But how...? Then they smiled. This was Vella Crean after all.
For on the sands, sat a rather large golden hatchling with violet eyes. Sitting there for a moment, it looked around, then walked determinly...
Behind its mother.

People started to chuckle when the small head peeped around again, and giggled when it disappeared. Liking the stir it had caused, the gold finally creeped out, and walked determinly towards Ten.
Are you happy now? No... you've got to be happy, and satisfied. Who wouldn't be with such a find specimen like myself? The voice was definatly male, and as the hatchling looked up at Ten, he chuckled. I'm so adorable, ain't I? I know... my name is Arumdaoth, and when I grow up, I'll be bigger then the biggest dragon in Zerkira!

The remaining egg had hatched, and people started to file out of the sands, when Eeppoth looked up. Jermine, Shkeln, stay. The blue had a rather commanding voice, and as the two boys paused, she grinned. You didn't impress during this clutch, but I think you should stay, and wait for the next one. Who knows what might happen?

After all, this was the Vella Crean.
