~I put Blue Cheer at the top of the list because without them heavy metal would not be what it is today...this little known band, was indeed the founding fathers of heavy metal no matter what everyone says...because of the type of music for that day. Blue Cheer was censored and sadly alot of people do not remember the band because of this..
If you want to know what the first heavy metal sound was make sure to listen to their tape or cd its worthwhile...
