Perdition Live - 1st VEN V Ball
PsiVamp Live - 1st VEN V Ball
A Review of the First VEN Vampire Ball
April 3rd, 2004 Toronto, Ontario
@ The Vatikan Nightclub

Well we made it through the first event with some minor difficulties early on in the day but that is a long story which I will pass on telling. The doors were open on time with the lights on still and sound checks still in effect BUT we managed to get it set up by 8:30 and Psychopathos were on stage just a few minutes later then scheduled to put on an AWESOME show which had the audience absolutely rocking. I cant wait to see them play again! Thanks again to Leslie for all the help with promoting and flyering, all i can say is this girls and guy are incredibly professional and just all around wicked people!
Sadly Sapphic Ode was not able to make it out, I will refrain from explaining just how unprofessional they are but lets just say this, they did not LET me know they were not coming out BUT luckily Femme Generation were kind enough to take their place on short notice and did a great job of it as well. These guys are incredibly laid back and put on an awesome show and you should definetely check them out next time they play here in their hometown.
Next we saw The Angels of poverty in The 7 Deadly Sins. It was a performance that absolutely captivated our audience. Special thanks again to Madame Webb for all the help in the planning and for this incredible performance, to learn more about them check out

After this we were proud to have Torontos own Perdition up on stage to play an extended set which included a cover of Ozzies No More Tears. The audience was enthralled and I am pleased to have finally seen them play, they sound INCREDIBLE live and I look forward to working with Steven again in the future.
Last but not least for the musician we welcomed PsiVamp, who came all the way out from Georgia for his first Canadian performance, to the stage with his entracing mix of electronic masterpieces which enthralled the audience who were treated to free t-shirts and glo-sticks by the southern gentleman. I sincerely look forward to the next time I met this incredible person and his beautiful and sweet manager Natasha in the distant future.

To top the night of great live performances off we also had two wonderful djs spinning for VEN.
Starting the evening off was DJ Vortx from Black out Saturdays at the Vatikan and later in the evening DJ Th'Elf.
Guests also got to enjoy the wonderful art work of local artist Kate Mior.
With references made to the pieces having an almost "Tim Burton" feel the pieces fit in wonderfully with the ambiance of the evening.
Thanks again to Vampire Wear and Minx for the prizes and to Siren, Minx, Madame Webb and Vamprie Wear forSponsoring us. The support has been overwhelming and I am proud to annouce we raised over $300 for Amnesty International through the proceeds at the door, through advance ticket sales via paypal and several seperate donations made during the night from our guests.
