she is Maiden, Mother and Crone.
It is also an important source of
natural energy that is essential in
magick, if you preform your spells
Moon Phases and Spells
The Wheel of the Moon, is approximately 28 1/2 days long, waxing to Full Moon and waning to New Moon.
The New Moon
This is the moon phase where the moon cannot be seen, even when there are no clouds in the sky. This is the best time to cast spells that have to do with healing, blessing new projects or things of this nature, and growth of a personal nature.
Crescent Moon
This is the time in between the New Moon and the First Quarter, when you can see a little slice of the moon. This is the perfect time to perform spells that have to do with animals, business, emotions, and change.
The Waxing Moon
This is when the moon is in between the New Moon and Full Moon phases. During this time, it is best to perform magick that requires spells that deal with attraction, love, good luck, and wealth.
Gibbous Moon
This is the time when the moon looks ALMOST full, but isn't quite. This would be the time to perform a spell that deals with patience.
The Full Moon
This is where the moon is at its fullest. It is in, what seems to be, a perfect circle. It is best to do spells that banish unwanted presences, protection, increasing psychic ability, and divination.
Disseminating Moon
This is when the moon is much like the Gibbous Moon, but going back towards the New Moon. This is when you would want to cast spells for major decisions, addictions (overcoming), divorce, and stress.
The Waning Moon
This is the time in between the Full Moon and New Moon. During this time, spells that call for getting rid of negativity, like illnesses, emotions, curses, things of this nature.
Dark Moon
This is much like the Crescent Moon, but moving towards the New Moon. This is the ideal time to perform spells that are dealing with enemies, justice, obstacles, quarrels, and separation.
