Writing and performing your own spells is a much better way then to use spells written by other people. If a spell comes form the heart, rather then from a book, I believe that you will get the desired outcome faster, and more accuratley.
You can find a great spell writing outline below.

1. What is the goal of this spell? What do you want to achieve from this?

2.Decide the date, time and place you will perform this spell, remembering lunar phases and days of the week. These two things play a magor role on your spell.

3. If you will be calling on a God or Goddess, or both, do your research and find out who would best suit your needs, decide on a calling for them. (Make sure that the dieties you choose 'meld' together, or work together well, or you could have a magor energy disruption that could put your spell out of wack")

4. How will you visualize your goal? Will you draw it and consentrate on it? Will you picture it in your mind?

5. Decide your corresspondences, herbs, candles, colors, cords, elements that you want to use

Now your spell is written, its time to go.

a)Gather all items and bring them to the place where you will be performing your spell.

b)Cast your cirlce

c) invite your dieties and say any prayers you have written for them.

d) See your goal as planned (drawn, written, visualized in your mind)

e) Involve your correspondences, light your candles, sing, dance, drum.

f) When you feel like you have raised all the energy that you possibly can, send the energy out for your goal, relax, thrust your arms up in the air, whatever you feel would work the best.

g) Finish your spell with a "So mote it be" it is a sign of closure and a declaration that your spell will be successful (http://spiritonline.com)

h) close your circle, thank your dieteies, and let them go.

i) ground and center

j) Write in your Book Of Shadows the spell, how it went then gather your used corresspondences and bury them. (This is what i prefer to do with any left over herbs, i feel that this sends out access enegy to help your working)

Your Finished!
