Vainamoinen was to go meet Antero Vipunen. One of the giants that were left from the early days, from before the dawn of humanrace. Vaino supposed that Antero Vipunen could know the right words for making a boat, but when he finally found him, he found him sleeping. Most of the giants were very old, adn just sleps for a century, before raising to eat something jsut to go back to sleep again.

Well there Vaino found him, sleepign under grass and trees growing on his body. And how could he wake up a giant, that could not even hear well the little voice of a human, or even feel him hitting with his sword that could not harm his stonelike skin? After trying sometime Vainamoinen found only one way, adn he get in the giants mouth, hitting his softer tonque with his sword.

Well Antero Vipunen woke up and in surprise he swallowed whole Vainamoinen into his stomac. Angry of being waked up like that, Antero vipunen didn't want to vomit begging Vaino out, nor to give him teh words for making a boat. But Vaino made a firespell in his stomack making him feel burnign from the inside. Antero vipunen tried to vomit Vaino out, but he said that he will hold on untill he gets the words, so finally Vipunen had to give them to him.

After that it wasn't hard for Vainamoinen to use the spell and make a boat. And then he travelled back to Pohjola, for the girl he did this all for.

Vaino returned to Pohjola, with the boat. And the Lady of the north was there to see him. But she didn't smile, just said that he came too late. Ilmarinen had made Sampo, greatest of treasures ever made. It was like a mill of wealth, it made goldcoins, even no one ever had to put gold in it. This kind of magical mill Ilamrinen made to get a wife, and It was ready now. "You could have get me if you just asked me." Said the Lady to him. "You asked the wrong thing. yuo asked the price, not me. For the others i am for sale. For you...I would have given myself if you just asked. Now it is too late and i am bride for Smith Ilmarinen."

Same time came Lieto Lemminkäinen from his quest to turn swamp of snakes into a field. He didn't know about the engagement of Ilmarinen and the Lady of the north, and Louhi, the hostess of Pohjola didn't tell him. She never liked Lemminkäinen very much, and she didn't want to see him in her daughters wedding, so she wanted him to leave to his final quest for "getting the bride." This time, Lemminkäinen was to shoot a swan...from the river of Tuonela.

Thinking he was near to get the Lady of the north, Lemminkäinen travelled to Tuonela, the land of the dead, where every man goes when he dies. He didn't know that Louhi allso sent on of her servants after him, to kill him, and so it happened that Leminkäinen lost his life in teh land of the dead, killed by Louhi's servant who after that cut him to peaces and threw into the dark river, where no man will raise.

Back in Kalevala, Lemminkäinen's mother saw how the brush he left was dripping blood. And so she knew her son was dead. She left home and travelled to Pohjola, bowed tree times to Louhi, but got only lies about her son. Then finally, mother's rage give her the strenght to allmost beat Louhi, when the hostess of Pohjola finally told him, that she send Lemminkäinen to the land of the dead.
