Vainamoinen, Ilmarinen, Lemminkäinen and the rest of the group continued their journey back to home with Sampo. They allready though they made it, before they heard a big scream from behind. They raised their gaze to the sky and saw Louhi in a form of massive, monstrous bird-greature, reaching them like a wind.
Louhi had collected some of the boards of her crashed ship and took ten scythes, with her magic turning the boards to the wings and scythes to nails and now in birdish form and full of anger she reached Vaino's group with her soldiers riding on her back.
All in the boat were defending Sampo from monstrous and raging Louhi with all they got, like was Louhi giving her best to get her treasure back and kill Kalevalans. Nails cut and spears of Pohjolans pierced badly, but still was sword of Vainamoinen allways a little longer than Louhi's reach. After a long battle, Louhi and her men falled into the sea, but as she was sinking under the wawes, Louhi reached her final move towards Sampo and pulled it with her into the deeps. And as Sampo finally reached the bottom of the sea, it crashed into thousand little pieces.
So the greates tresure ever made was destroyed, and the group returned home with empty hands. But the days passed and as Pohjola's might was defeated, Kalevala started to bloom little by little.
Ilmarinen the smith, that had forget greater and greater things all of his life, stopped his work. He felt like after doing somethign so great that Sampo was, and seeing how it was destroyed, he didn't want to go on his job and now just  made a family and lived his life peacefully in Kalevala.
People tell that one work he did. A sword for Lemminkäinen, who crushed the doors of the church that those crusaders made into "his" island, and killed the head priest, proclaiming himself to the king and the ruler of that allready very populated island.
Louhi survived after all. She raised from the sea and moved back to the ruins of Pohjola, weak, after loosing her treasure and most of her powers, but as mean as allways. And there she might still be, greating new diseases for the people of Kalevala, but her powers are not enough to do anything bigger. The stories of her attempts to destroy Kalevala after loosing Sampo are all very short stories. And allways she was driven back to the cold north to bite her nails.
Vainamoinen has lost his dear harp, and that he weeped a long while. For him, there was not much in the world. A new god has borned, and time of wisards and spirits of nature was in the end.
So one day he just left. He took a boat and raised into the heavens to join the gods. But before he left, he told that one day, when the time has come and people need a wizard again, he will be back and show the might of the oldest one.
The End
