My Ultimate Seven-Five-Seven Treasure
Jillian's is my number one hot spot for fun, tons of laughs, and just hanging out. Jillian's is just a little drive away across the HRBT to Waterside drive in Norfolk. It offers a something for everyone, including three separate dance clubs and a game room. The dance clubs are in a variety of music and atmosphere settings, while the video arcade invites the mind to ponder and think.
Jillian's was an awesome place to go this past weekend. My friends and I had a blast firing a rifle at the shooting game in the arcade. We ended up spending over six hours in the arcade alone just because we wanted more tickets. The more tickets you got, the better the prizes got. I was attempting to get the T.V. or at least the big, green care bear. No one seemed to be able to get me off the exotic world racing game though after lunch. It was a blast to drive a dodge viper that I know I'll probably never have.
Another great thing about Jillian's was that you didn't necessarily need to leave to go and get something to eat; they had a restaurant right there in the arcade area. While my boyfriend enjoyed having a drink from the bar, my friends and I got our typical soda and a burger. Their menu has anything from a good old fashion pizza to a nice, hot zingy buffalo chicken sandwich; it's got enough kick to make your mouth cry for milk. The restaurant also gives you a chance to eat and play with the fun card with certain meals.
While we dined, we noticed the TVs that were all on different channels. They covered anything from sport's games to MTV. Also everyone at my table was in tuned to the TVs around us that we forgot about the food. When it was finally time to eat, we gulfed it down and hurry through to play some more.
Jillian's also offer a variety of different dance clubs and lounges to let loose and enjoy yourself. Club Mojo on some nights has local bands that come and play. They can also help you reserve the best spot to host a party or even anti-traditionalist wedding reception. It's usually popular with the just legal group, while the Blue Cat Live reminds you of the soft, good ole blues played in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jillian's is a great place for friends to hang out and just let loose. All of us had a blast with the games no matter how kiddy they were. We made fun of ourselves playing pool, but at least we did it with a grin. No matter how old I get, I'll be coming back to Jillian's real soon. It may be a little far for some but definitely worth it. It was an awesome experience to go and play and not worry about lines and a lot of people like amusement parks. As they say, " Go, Eat, and Play".
