No good RPG is complete without weapons, of course, so you can defeat all those terrible monsters. This page is your stop if you're looking for info about weapons.

This table lists weapons in alphabetical order (for further details about any weapon, look below the table). Stats list the number of points improved by the weapon and are figured from an unequipped character, so you won't see this much of an improvement if you already have a decent weapon equipped when you purchase or find a particular weapon. Some weapons make no difference in some areas, or a negative difference.

Ancient Dagger

This powerful dagger lets you do a bit more damage to your enemies, and is also more likely to connect with its target. Like the dagger, it will let you attack twice in one round.
Bastard Sword

Broadsword
Found: East Nota

You'll want Hiro to buy this at the first opportunity, as it will significantly increase the amount of damage it can do. Nothing special, really. Just an improvement.
Dagger
Found: Start of Game

Your weapon when you start out is decent, but it really won't get you anywhere. Fortunately, it will soon be replaced by the much more powerful Ancient Dagger.
Feather Fan
Found: Caravan
Equipped by: Jean
Jean comes equippped with this weapon when she initially joins your group. Nothing you have in your inventory will make her a more effective fighter, as this long-range weapon can hit pretty much any enemy from any place on the battlefield.
Flail
Found: Dalton

You will of course want to purchase this weapon, a good improvement to what Ronfar will currently have equipped. There's nothing more to say, really.
Flame Staff
Found: Mystic Ruins
Equipped by: Lemina
Near the end of the Mystic Ruins, Lemina can find a treasure chest that contains this item, useful for fighting against cold creatures.
Golden Mace
Found: Zulan

Yeah, a new weapon for Ronfar. Overall, it's not really any better than just having something like the Ancient Dagger equipped on him, but this is still a good weapon if you want one of his specialty weapons. And you do, of course, in this area of the game.
Iron Fan
Found: Takkar Village

Jean will do a lot more damage in battle if you buy this for her at Takkar Village. I recommend it as your first purchase once you arrive there.
Long Sword
Found: Dalton

Before it was the Short Sword and now it's the long one. This time, the weapon is worth equipping, as the total damage it does in two strikes exceeds the amount the daggers do in one. It's a slim difference, though. Anyway, still worth a purchase.
Mace
Found: Larpa

Since Ronfar doesn't come equipped with any weapons, you'll probably want to buy this right away. It will help him do a great deal more damage in battle.
Magic Staff
Found: Haunted Manor
Equipped by: Lemina
When Lemina joins your party, she'll be equipped with this. Obviously you'll want to replace it at your earliest convenience, but for the moment it will do. Note that she can actually do more physical damage with the Ancient Dagger if you still have it in your possession.
Platinum Fan
Found: Meribia
Equipped by: Jean
This fan does good damage and is a nice improvement for Jean if she can afford it. Really, it should be your second purchase in Meribia, preceded only by the purchase of the Bastard Sword for Hiro.
Quake Staff
Found: Meribian Sewers
Equipped by: Lemina
Lemina will have the ability to attack with quake attacks when she equips this special staff.
Razor Fan
Found: Zulan

When you get the opportunity to buy a new projectile for Jean, there's only one thing to do: buy it! This time is no exception. It does good damage to enemies, and she gets to attack twice per round at this point, so this is another of those 'must-have purchase' things.
Short Sword
Found: Larpa

The attack stats seem impressive, but realize you can only attack once per round when you have this weapon equipped. At least, that's likely to be the case when you first buy it. For this reason, it's probably best to leave the Ancient Dagger equipped until you go up a level and can attack more times per round. Even then, use of the short sword is questionable.
Silver Mace
Found: Takkar Village
Equipped by: Ronfar
You can equip Ronfar with this lovely piece of weaponry if you happen to have the funds at Takkar Village. As you might guess, it should be one of your first purchases, there.
Silver Sword
Found: West Nota
Equipped by: Hiro
The groovy news here is that this is a good weapon for Hiro, the best you can buy for him at this point. Automatically, that makes this a must-buy. So, uh, buy it!
Spirit Mace
Found: Taben's Peak
Equipped by: Ronfar
Since he couldn't buy any weapon upgrades in Meribia, you can bet Ronfar will be delighted when he finds this improvement at Taben's Peak.
Thunder Staff
Found: Taben's Peak
Equipped by: Lemina
This weapon doesn't improve Lemina's attack power, per se, but it does give her the power of thunder.
Water Staff
Found: Zulan Mountain
Equipped by: Lemina
Lemina needs every extra staff she can find, so this is an awesome discovery. Her attacks will have the power of water.
Wind Staff
Found: Bandit Butte
Equipped by: Lemina
You will find this in a treasure chest near the exit of Bandit Butte. Like the Magic Staff, it has no obvious benefits other than that it gives Lemina a windy spin to her attacks.
