Tropical Storm Fay paid us a visit over the past 24 hours and has stayed much longer than anyone anticipated. We went to bed Monday night with winds and rain and woke up Tuesday to much stronger winds and much more rain. We have been under the gun all day and still Tuesday night are feeling the strong winds and rain.
The Park has gone through the ordeal in good shape. All of our roads were flooded with 8 to 10 inches of water on them. There has not been any damage to any of our owners property, at least from an outward appearance. If people have leaky roofs or windows, we are not able to tell. A few palm trees lost branches and lots of garbage cans, that were not removed from the concrete vaults, have been popped out and were floating down the roads. A FPL light pole near the entrance to the storage yard was knocked over and our large sign at the entrance of the Park was blown down and will need to be replaced. We had so much rain that the swimming pool water overflowed the pool and needed to be drained to get the water level back to acceptable levels. The storage yard has about 2 feet of water in the roadway.
Tomorrow we will begin to clean up the fallen branches, put the pool furniture back on the pool deck, remove the tractors, lawn mowers and generators from the club house, dry the rugs in the fitness center and pool room: from rain blowing in under the doors, and start enjoying Venture III again.
The effort that all of you made to pick up materials around your property really pays off when we get these high winds and large amounts of rain. Thank You

We thought Fay was leaving us, but 4 days later we are still feeling the effects of strong winds and more rain. Jensen Beach has received over 15 inches of rain. During Monday and Tuesday the winds were from the Southeast and Wednesday and today they are from the Northwest. We are getting more tree damage from these current winds then we did from the first two days. We are in much better shape than Port St. Lucie, who has major flooding. Venture III seems to be getting rid of the water rather quickly. The roads fill up, but soon after the rain stops, the roads are void of water.
We will meet with Holiday Out tomorrow to decide on a new set up for our entrance sign. Monday we will have a meeting to look back at what we need to do to protect our property from future storms. Every time we have a storm it gives us a chance to see how we can prepare better for the next storm.  Bill
