| The splendid gemstones comes in many colours, Blue,Yellow, pink, Purple and green. Sapphires are found in India, Burma, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietanam, Australia, Brazil and Africa. The corundum group consists of pure alluminium oxide which a long time ago was caused to crystalise into beautiful and spelendid gemstones by the pressure and heat in the depths of the ground. Small proportion of other elements, mainly iron and crome, are responsible for the resulting colours and make the basically white crystals a blue,red,yellow,pink or greenish sapphire.
