Laerrigan's biggest obstacle to overcome in costuming is his wings.  His finely-scaled, slightly-translucent, batlike pinions are too small for flight or even for gliding--all they can do is provide a small amount of direction and cushioning for a fall--but they're definitely large enough to be noticed under ordinary clothes.  And because his wingshoulders are positioned closer to the outside of his back than the center of it (the only way for them to have enough freedom of movement for flapping), he can't simply keep them folded at his back and hidden under a robe; if so folded, they'd bulge out past his arms on either side.  So he's come up with as good a manner of concealment as possible:  he folds his wings by passing them forward under his arms to wrap around his torso and lie relatively flat over his shirt.
Laerrigan's basic costume consists of a longsleeve shirt and pants and soft calfboots, with a dark green cargo vest over the shirt (and over his wings) and a striped brown robe that really is more like a duster.  The shirt has a high neck to conceal another patch of scaly skin; his wings pass through holes in the back, but the garment buttons down the front for easier on-and-off.  The cargo vest is loose-fitting enough to go over his wings when they're wrapped around his torso, and numerous pockets all over it provide an alibi if anyone happens to brush against him and feel the slight bulk of his hidden wings.  The robe/duster adds further concealment of the outlines of his wrapped wings, and of course provides more surfaces that can hold pockets inside and out, as well as serving as raingear.  In fair weather, he usually wears the robe open at the front.  If necessary, he can lose the robe entirely, but vest alone provides less-reliable concealment for his wings.
Fingerless gloves of plain knitted cloth hide the end of a long swath of scaly skin that runs down his left forearm onto the back of that hand.  A black drow-skin ripple crosses the top of his right thumb from outside to inside, down across his palm, and under his wrist, another distracting element mostly concealed by his gloves.
