STUDENT loans commercial loans companies and higher fees may become commonplace across higher level vocational courses after Canberra yesterday backed guaranteed online personal loans Victoria's training shake-up.
Federal Education Minister Julia Gillard agreed to extend university-style loans to vocational students after the Victorian Government launched a $316million boost to training. While Ms Gillard said the commonwealth didn't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, the backing for Victoria is a clear signal that Canberra would support similar moves to a student demand-driven model, with governments part-funding entitlements and offering loans to compensate for fee increases.
"We are committed to supporting all reforms us gov car loans that honour smart home loans our election commitments to ensure we have a flexible and fha government home loans responsive training system," Ms Gillard said.
Under Victoria's training overhaul, lowest auto loans centralised truck driving scholl loans and capped funding of public TAFEs will be replaced by giving eligible Victorians a government entitlement to increase their skills.
Students would be free to cash in their entitlements at either public TAFEs or private home loans for disabled providers.
The staged reforms include some big student fee increases for upper-level qualifications, but fee cuts for lower qualifications.
For advanced diplomas, the current maximum of $877 would rise to $1500 next year, and to as much as $2500 by 2012.
To compensate students, the commonwealth has agreed to extend from next July its HECS-like Fee-Help loan system to Victoria's vocational students, under which graduates don't start making repayments until their income hits $41,595 a year.
Fee increases for apprenticeships would initially be student loans no credit limited toinflation.
Victoria hard business loans for brokers expects the changes to generate 172,000 extra training places over four years.
