The Hana Adventure

Hana is a town on the east side of Maui where the wind blows onto the island. As these winds blow up to the highlands, the water is wrung out producing the rich tropical vegetation. The road to Hana starts at the city where most land and where they get their first hint of this tropical paradise. Be sure to stop by the Shell station and pickup a Road to Hana tour CD, it does an outstand job of narrating your journey.

Views as your rounding one of the hundreds of curves

The drive will take you hours not because the road is so long, but because the splendor is so breath taking. A splendor that beckons almost tugs you from your car to see even more. While the CD makes sure you don't miss the most breath taking. This foliage is so thick and lush you think your surely in a a fantasy land. As you drive the foliage opens for unforgettable views of the ocean with glistening waves, coves where the foaming waves decorate lava rocks with a special frosting, and a blue water that you will later use to describe perfection. The blue ocean shades change as the sun moves through it's arch while the day whisks by. The water falls are awesome by themselves but when blended into the tropical foliage it's a majestic splendor that you will savor forever. We tried to capture this tropical wonderland with a mere camera, but nothing can package this 3D tropical haven of sights and sounds while a refreshing sea breeze caresses you.

We divide our journey into 2 day. The first day closed our eyes and drive 5+ miles pas the Garden of Eden (it's on the right) before we start basking in this paradise. On the second day we explored the upper section including the Garden of Eden where we spend hours savoring it's splendor.
