Rosset Partnered Jos at Arrows for season 1996. This was his debut season in F1 racing. 1996 was a struggle but Rosset made if through, gaining valuable experience.
In 1997 he was chosen to race for the returning Lola team. Although Rosset was occasionally quicker than his team mate, Sospiri, the car was more than ten seconds off the pace at qualifying in Australia and allied with financial difficulties, the team folded immediatley.
Rosset bounced back with Tyrrell for 1998, chosen over Verstappen for his hefty sponsorship backing. Rosset claimed that the sluggish season for Tyrrell ruined his F1 career with a car that was usually at the back of the grid - although Rosset was usually out-paced by his team-mate Tora Takagi.
Rosset has since continued to work for his own sports-wear business and has competed in South American touring cars.
