The rest of Brian's bio... Throughout the year – thanks to some personally challenging classes, I’ve been learning to incorporate my faith into all that I do, including my studies, work, or whatever is placed before me. Our Christmas class mission trip was another step along that path, teaching me to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, and most importantly by allowing my faith to affect me in whatever situation I find myself in. I’m so thankful for the people that I’ve met this year and for my experiences because of cabinet…I continue to be stretched and challenged by the witnesses of such great Christian people that I’m privileged to interact with on a daily basis. I’m also thankful for our Vessel class and its zeal to go deeper in its faith. My daily challenge, the unattainable ideal of the Christian’s life is this: “What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him…” (Philippians 3:8-9) In this time of introspection and learning, I am most thankful to the Lord for his all-surpassing goodness, and pray that I will allow that to override my own selfish desires, as I daily deny myself.
