The golden sun had set with all the glorious golden and orange colors that this brought with its departure. In the twilight following came the rising of the full moon. As night sky turned into indigo and then deepened in color there came the sight of the never ending sparkle of stars twinkling in the firmament...
all reflected on the still waters of the lake beneath.

A gentle breeze caressed the trees in the greenwood surrounding the lake, causing the foliage to shimmer and glisten as silver mirrored in the water's reflection and framing perfectly a pair of swans silently gliding in the moonlight leaving gentle ripples in their wake.... Little circles appeared on the water where fish plopped up seeking food, and all was peaceful in the world of the lake and greenwood.

Then a night bird called out through the reeds and the eyes of those in the greenwood became alert, watching, and patiently waiting for the one they expected to arrive. And there along the waters edge there suddenly appeared  a beautiful maiden
with long hair the color of a raven's wing.

She stood at the water's edge, the waist-length strands of her hair flowing as a midnight waterfall down her back to glisten in the moonlight. In reverent bliss, she watched the beautiful scene unfolding before her gaze, and raised her face to capture
the kiss of Luna 's silver light.

As I stood on the lake's shore, I could see a birch-bark canoe carrying one occupant, a translucent personage of ghostly form. This ephemeral soul stepped from its vessel and glided silently across the water, emanating warmth and smiles as it approached. No face could be made out, nor even gender, but the eidolon's demeanor was all peace and respectful connection.

Upon nearing to a few paces, it pointed upward to the heavens., and the eyes of the wolves hidden in the mist swirling in the trees of the greenwood could only gaze on wonder at this event unfolding before them.... ..they  stopped, and produced an almighty pack howl, that stirred up the air, shattering the silence and sending chills up the spine of any within that range of sound.  An even deeper stillness took hold all around. The pair of swans, the night-birds, the fish, all the creatures turned their eyes upward as I gazed into the sky,
the air of expectancy growing even stronger.

My eyes immediately fell upon a bright, sparkling light, the planet Jupiter. And nearby, dimmer but no less powerful, Saturn. The two seemingly unlikely allies shared their swath of sky with the Pleiades not far above them, and Orion and his compatriots a ways below. A great feeling of well-being washed over me and I smiled at the wonder of it all...

But then the maiden's quiet reverie was abruptly shattered, as a loud and dreadful rumbling of some powerful beast filled the night air, echoing throughout the chasm.  As this unseen creature thrashed its way through the woods, all those present in this once tranquil setting were suspended and waiting breathlessly for the Source of the ruckus to appear. Surely it would be a ponderous Monster indeed to make such noise!

Then, from between the sentinels of greenwood trees emerged  a shining black and silver Harley Davidson, engine roaring through the twin silver exhausts. The rider was clad in black leather....who, having caught sight of the beautiful girl by the lakeside, braked sharply and stopped in the shadows. He ran his hands through his ruffled silver blonde hair and swung a lean leg across the saddle, and looking up again, the lovely woman had disappeared. He blinked once, twice,
but still could not see her.

Then he realized he had his ~Mr Super extra cool~ sun shades on which had misted up on him, so removing them he used the other hand to grab a linen handkerchief out of his left pocket, and in the meantime, went SMACK!!!! straight into a brick wall. This left him a bit dumbfounded, and slightly speechless to say the least, and he glimpsed furtively around with deep embarrassment to see if anyone had noticed this major faux pas;  to his surprise, the brick wall had appeared out of nowhere in this tranquil setting. "How did that get here?"  He wondered out loud to himself.

Then, from somewhere in the depths of the lake in front of him, he heard . . . The sound of a gentle voice calling to him ....looking over towards the water he caught a glimpse of the beautiful maiden who was floating on a lily pad quaffing chilled sparkling chardonnay and munching chocolates....with the moonlight reflecting in her smile. "Ye gods" he thought! "Is this a dream I
am having here or is it......well, is it that I'm going quite mad? Then, the maiden began shifting form, her eyes became like brilliant topaz stones shimmering...

..and then emitting laser like beams, shining on a certain point to the side of the entrance of the pyramid, she then heard a massive underground rumbling as the entrance on the left hand side began to slide open...."brick walls?...pyramids? .." he thought. And then a beautiful golden light emanated from the portal being created by the opening of the door, closed for so many centuries in time. Walking forwards, her eyes shining bright she  stood before the opening chanting in sounds foreign and yet familiar to him; he watched entranced....

And from the center of this brilliant resonance that was neither purely sight nor sound, but a mystical fusion of the two, a figure stepped through . . . so sat there thinking of crystals, and pyramid forms, rainbow lines of color, multiple layered, converging to an apex or point of brilliant white Light,
stirring the senses of the one who waited... and waited for that moment when all would become crystal clear....
