Venus, Gemini, and The Rainbow Bridge The fusion of the Soul and the Personality might be illustrated by the 6 pointed star. The components of this star are 2 interlaced triangles representing the lower and higher selves. Venus and Gemini rule the process of these 2 triangles of self making connection through what is known as the Rainbow Bridge or Anatakarana. An illustration of this can be seen HERE. Venus is the soul-centered Ruler of Gemini, whilst Mercury is the personality centered ruler. The placements by sign, house and aspect of these 2 planets as well as their relationship with each other can tell much about the status of this process of building the rainbow bridge. The house cusp/cusps that Gemini fall on in the natal wheel will indicate where in life these transformations might be most felt and/or apparent. Gemini’s ray of manifestation is the 2nd ray of Love/Wisdom, so that Gemini is fundamentally establishing the connection to the Quality of Soul that expresses as Impersonal Love. The second ray planet Jupiter {key to Spiritual purpose} becomes focal in the interpretation as well. In numerology, the number 6 is essentially a working and building number. Six corresponds to the interrelation of the human to the divine. 3 X 2 = 6. The two triads are interlaced to create the 6-pointed star. Since the relationship of the human and divine is dependent upon the upliftment of the human aspect, the number 6 is one of preparation through purification. Pythagoras dedicated 6 to Venus, also known as the goddess of Love, as well as to the perfection of all parts. This process of connection and soul infusion involves the growing out of personal love, to the impersonal Love of the Soul. This is ultimately accomplished through the higher mind aspect. In the center of this star is a point of light; the energy of Spirit. The 6 pointed star, once blended , has a seventh component, yet all are One. In East Indian theology, the upright triangle represents Shiva, the principle of Fire, whilst the inverted triangle represents Vishnu, the principle of Water. Their interlacing forms what is known as Solomons Seal, or the Philosophers Diamond or Stone. The Philosophers Stone in alchemical lore, is symbolic of the achieving of an equal balance of the masculine and feminine in their perfected states. Once this is achieved, transmutation is easily facilitated, and the work culminated. One can see the universality of these symbols, even if they are called by different names. The Water/Fire seems symbolic of the First and Last signs of our Zodiac, Aries {Fire}, and Pisces {Water}..from beginning to end…to begin anew…or the “turning of the wheel”, no longer held by the desires of the personality; Soul Infused. Venus, according to the Ancient Wisdom, is the Earths alter ego. It is to the Earth what the Soul is to the personality. Venus, and the sign Gemini {the Light of Interplay} make us aware of the 2 selves as symbolized by the upright and inverted triangles; lower and higher. Once this awareness takes place, the process of adjusting the lower {personality} to be the vehicle for the higher {soul} can begin consciously. This is the process of building the Rainbow Bridge of connectivity between the soul and the personality. It is said that Gemini is the sign of relating and relatedness, adjusting and mutating all that is necessary for the evolution of the Soul. In its personality expression, Gemini seeks external stimulation and moves according to the dictates of the instinctual mind. Once Gemini’s expression is becoming soul aware, the energy becomes more subjectively expressed. The nature of relationship becomes an important focus; the relationship with others, and the relationship of the soul to the personality. At this stage, Gemini will move beyond the notion that his/her opinions constitute an absolute. In the beginning, this might be expressed through individuals by having 2 distinctly different groups of friends and associates: one that represents the nature and desires of the lower self, and the other that reflects the higher. Moving back and forth between the 2, a sense of the relatedness begins to emerge. When Venus, the esoteric ruler of Gemini, becomes increasingly a factor, a synthesis of the lower and higher selves begins to take place. When an individual knows him/herself to be a Soul, structuring the lower self to serve the higher is of paramount importance. |
