| ~ Water Signs ~ I stand afloat in this calm sea Seemingly at home after a thousand years The sun is shining a foreign color strangely tanning my skin And I pursue this inquisition as I dock to a familiar presence, Familiar voice...whispering from afar "Am I no longer a prisoner to fate?" I somehow knew his answer in my heart Because I'm guarded to it's familiarity my Soul spreads over the body of water And there was a connection. He says, "The water has invited me to see" The crashing waves bring us together And she says, "What is it I should see?" The memories are far away Destiny has rolled around this thought Pondering years of approval Finally we stand together under this unknown sky And there was a Connection The stars say they are known to us And the water signs stare at the moon We're drawn into this timeless zone A union we somehow both knew Words can't name this familiar force That binds us to the water signs You look to the Moon and I Run to the Sun There it lay, our sacred love An instinct with no words attached But only a connection And the water supported us. 1998 by Shel © 2002-2003 |
