2001 Yamaha 660r Raptor |
I got the beast on June 30th, 2001. It was in great shape. I purchased it from the original owner, and it hadn't been ridden too much. I drilled lots of big holes in the air box, pulled the stock spark arrestor, rejetted to 145/150 mains. The bike ran much better. I installed a PRM full frame skid plate, swing arm skid plate, a-arm skid plates, desert front bumper, and a 6-pack rack. Looks great, and I highly recomend these guys for anything. Service was great, and the products are top notch. Very beefy stuff. Update 8-24-01: I just received, and installed a CT Racing pipe kit www.ctracing.com. This includes head pipe, and muffler, Pro Design adapter w/ K&N, 170/175 main jets, Outwear, and a Supertrapp Spark arrestor w/ 16 disk. The bike runs awesome, and sounds great. I hit the rev limiter in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd the first time I rode it. It pulls hard all the way to the rev limiter. Did I mention that it sounds great! I haven't put the spark arrestor on yet, but I won't unless I need it to for State Parks, and such. According to CT Racing it will be making slightly more power with the spark arrestor in, so I will try it soon Check out the pics............... |
