Milk has always been the producer of calcium and strong bones. But at what cost?

Do you really think cows produce up to a 100 pounds of milk everyday naturally? 10 pounds a day is the norm. Farmers artificially inseminate cows to keep this amount up. Cows wouldn't normally need this much milk for their calf. They didn't expect to make milk for us, too!

And young calves are destined to horrible lives. Some are slaughtered as soon as they are born for their stomachs (which are used in cheese). Others have to endure MONTHS of torment in crates so small they can barely move and are fed only milk to keep their meat soft for us to eat. This is called the making of VEAL!

If you have any ounce of compassion, you will switch to soy milk and boycott veal! Certain brands of soymilk do NOT taste like beans. They taste very good, even better because you know no cow had to become pregnant and suffer to make it. I like Silk Vanilla Soymilk.
